Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThe window in our room did not have an outside view which should be mentioned in the room description as I would have upgraded had I known. Also the continental breakfast choice was amazing but the hot choice was very limited.
The staff were fabulous, so friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. A free welcome glass of Prosecco on arrival and an extra bonus was that the room was ready early. The hotel itself is so stylish and done to a high standard.

We ordered a bottle of wine, without looking at the wine menu...big mistake!While I'm no expert, it tasted ok, but at £80 for the bottle I thought it was ridiculously priced with no cheaper alternatives on the menu when we checked it out. This is way beyond the average person's budget. I'm sounding like a tight Yorkshire lass, but this was a let down for me. Sorry!
Beautiful luxurious hotel, perfect location in walking distance to all of the tourist attractions. Staff couldn't be more helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel decor and finish overall is of a very high standard, well maintained and very clean.

Prosecco upon arrival, perfect central location, 5 minutes from the castle (with views from our room!) clean, tidy, beautiful decor, comfy and spacious room.

The staff were very helpful and provided early check in as we had arrived on the sleeper train from London. The location is great, very close to the Castle and Royal Mile. The room was very well fitted out.

Long wait to get a table. Waited ages of tea & CoffeE to be served and the toast turned up after we has eaten breakfast. They seemed to be getting a lot wrong on last morning.
The staff were all amazing, Very Friendly from the moment you walk in . Lovely room with Balcony booked for my Husband Birthday !! Amazing bed but room as quite small. Very quiet at night so got lots of rest. Complimentary cocktail tokens left in the room lovely!!
