The window in our room did not have an outside view which should be mentioned in the room description as I would have upgraded had I known. Also the continental breakfast choice was amazing but the hot choice was very limited.

The staff were fabulous, so friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. A free welcome glass of Prosecco on arrival and an extra bonus was that the room was ready early. The hotel itself is so stylish and done to a high standard.

Food and drink expensive. We had a meal in the Eve bar, the food was nice but pricey. We ordered a bottle of wine, without looking at the wine menu...big mistake!While I'm no expert, it tasted ok, but at £80 for the bottle I thought it was ridiculously priced with no cheaper alternatives on the menu when we checked it out. This is way beyond the average person's budget. I'm sounding like a tight Yorkshire lass, but this was a let down for me. Sorry!

Beautiful luxurious hotel, perfect location in walking distance to all of the tourist attractions. Staff couldn't be more helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel decor and finish overall is of a very high standard, well maintained and very clean.

Could have been more choice at the breakfast buffet. No shavers plug in the bathroom for our electric toothbrushes. Only a mild annoyance though, Boots sell adaptors quite cheaply.

Prosecco upon arrival, perfect central location, 5 minutes from the castle (with views from our room!) clean, tidy, beautiful decor, comfy and spacious room.

The staff were very helpful and provided early check in as we had arrived on the sleeper train from London. The location is great, very close to the Castle and Royal Mile. The room was very well fitted out.

Breakfast although it was included in room rate it was quite basic if you wanted anything else it was extra. The last morning at breakfast was very disorganised. Long wait to get a table. Waited ages of tea & CoffeE to be served and the toast turned up after we has eaten breakfast. They seemed to be getting a lot wrong on last morning.

The staff were all amazing, Very Friendly from the moment you walk in . Lovely room with Balcony booked for my Husband Birthday !! Amazing bed but room as quite small. Very quiet at night so got lots of rest. Complimentary cocktail tokens left in the room lovely!!

The only downside was having to leave this exceptional hotel. Everything else exceeded expectations, leaving no room for complaints.

Everything about the Virgin Hotel in Edinburgh was perfect. From its prime location to the grand entrance and exquisite interior, every detail exuded magnificence. The spacious, immaculately clean rooms were simply fantastic. The historic charm of the building added a phenomenal touch to the overall experience. There's no magnifying mirror at the Vanity table . oh the room is a bit cold even if you turn the temperature to a higher degree 😬

Olga at the reception is so accommodating. Actually mostly of the staff we're all nice, they are always ready to help and give infos on what restaurants to have for dinner. Also at the Library during happy hour, Ron is such a nice guy.

Always expect to pay more for drinks and things in the hotel but there was quite a large service charge on top. It wasn’t made clear that the mini bar was not included when booking. We also paid for breakfast when we booked and it was not made clear that only the buffet breakfast was included.

Staff were very good. Made us feel welcome. Some quirky areas with in the hotel really nice.

Honestly, one of the best stays recently. We were granted early checkin, umbrella on side to borrow, it was really pleasure to stay and felt as 5* hotel with all the helpful stuff, who were always ready to help and so kind.

The WiFi was unstable, but luckily, I didn't need it much as I was on a leisure trip.

It is very modern, perfectly located, and with immaculate service. Staff were all very friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was delicious, but not great value (in my opinion) on the buffet side as hot food was limited. Great coffee, though.
