Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesOur room was in the basement which made me Claustrophobic. It was hard to operate the aircon/heater even though we tried following instructions. The shower door was only 1/4 the length of the shower so the rest of it was open hence water splashed on the floor all over.
I liked that the room was up to date modern and the bathroom was clean. I liked the back area too where you can have a pleasant bfast.

It has made me angry that anyone who now sends me an email appears on my phone as an email from IHG Hotels. IHG had no right to commandeer my personal email address for branding purposes. Also when walking from the train station I would recommend the hotel provides the route which does not involve stairs that would be greatly helpful.

Very happy with my stay at VOCO Royal Terrace, a short walk to the city centre and lots of public transport options. The hotel was cozy and modern and rooms were very comfortable and clean. The food was really good, had the beef bourguignon and it was delicious. Its around the corner from Calton Hill too, it was a gentle walk to the top. The staff made the hotel really, so friendly and nice, especially Molly on reception who couldn't do enough for us.
