Great value, clean, comfortable, delicious breakfast, helpful staff - they helped us secure our bikes for the night. Restaurant in the pub so you don’t have to go back into town. Maybe not an issue for those who have a car - but it was convenient for us on bikes.

The hotel, location and food were of a high standard for what we paid. The city could do with a face-lift but that could be said for most cities in these times if austerity.

The location and breakfast were both very good

The shower was a bit small for me (I'm a bit large!!), but it operated well. NOT HOTEL....we were very sad to find that almost all museums and historic sites of interest were closed midweek. Our Taxi Driver blamed the Council!!

The room was clean and comfortable, although small due to the age of the building. The food was excellent, the breakfast superb!! The staff were friendly and helped with any aspect of out stay. An historic area and building....most interesting.

The staff were brilliant very welcoming and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and facilities excellent. We had drinks in the bar on the evening ,lovely atmosphere. The breakfast was outstanding both the buffet of fruit, yoghurts, croissants etc and the beautifully cooked breakfast . The lady who looked after us at breakfast was wonderful ,she couldn't have done anymore to make sure we had an enjoyable breakfast .

Breakfast on Sunday morning was only between 8.30 and 9.30am. And check out was earlier than expected. I think I missed that in the booking process. Would have been nice to be able to stay until 11 or 12 and have breakfast running later… especially on a Sunday.

Stayed for one night on a Saturday. The staff were friendly. Easy check in. Room had everything we needed. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was amazing… I didn’t want to get out! Breakfast the next morning was so tasty and big portions. Lots of tea and coffee and milk in the room which was nice to see as in some hotels they give you one of each which is useless.

Very clean, facilities were great, newly renovated bathroom, very comfy beds - and pillows - and the room was cosy and very warm with everything we required, lots of extra tea bags, milks etc. Very good value too., and it was just so very nice to stay at the wagon and horses .The staff were very friendly, especially the lady in the morning serving us breakfast - she was so helpful and nice. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel/BnB and would def stay again.

Nothing everything was brilliant topped with a beautiful full English breakfast in the morning

I stayed here for one night after a mix-up of communication. I had to stay in a different hotel for a night, but I went back and had a nice word with the lady and gentleman running the place, and I got an extra night for free so friendly and down to earth people can't wait to go back

Lovely staff! Nicely decorated rooms with comfortable bed and quality linen. Initial entry through the pub but extra key provided to come and go direct from accommodation area. Outstanding breakfast with table service! Had dinner here too. The Tapas option was fantastic.
