Lighting in the stairwells was a bit dark at night but managable.

Codes were sent well in advance. Apartment was in a great location. Nice and quiet for a good nights sleep.

Check dishes are actually clean when they come out of a dishwasher. Some door handles and light switches need to be wiped once in a while and the folder of instructions for the apartment seemed out of date and didn't match the email instructions (which were more accurate). Décor could be more personal. Some type of coffee table and dressing table would be handy and did find the towels in the cupboard instead of the standard on the bed. No tea, sugar, baking paper, oil or vegetable peeler. Maybe an umbrella stand or coat hook for when entering could be handy too.

Clear instructions via email received on the day. I was able to control the temperature myself, throw rug on a couch is a nice touch. Instructions to avoid setting the smoke alarm off were appreciated, along with the heated towel rack. It felt pretty safe. Central shopping centre almost on the doorstep. Very quiet at night on a Monday night, extra hooks in the bathroom are handy and access to a full length mirror and a good hairdryer and a hot shower is also great.

Parking is a bit of an issue, we stayed on a Saturday night so had to move the car a few times as only allowed to street park for an hour but after 6 it was ok until the next day. Cleanliness also could be improved as multiple hairs were found in the bed before we even got into it so gives the impression that the bed hadn’t been changed from the previous people who stayed. Same issue with the shower multiple hairs found in the shower.

If you aren’t very fit we were in apartment 3 and you had to walk up about 3/4 flights of stairs.

It was quite clean and spacious, close to all local amenities. Bed very comfortable

Sunday morning 8.30am someone was banging on my door when I was having a lie in.

Apartment was clean and tidy, comfortable and warm. Located perfectly in city centre, walking distance to everything. Host was easily contacted and pleasant to deal with. Access was simple and handy.

We enjoyed our brief stay at the Walled City Apartments in Derry. We had a studio apartment overlooking the street at the front of the property. The room was well presented, clean and comfortable. Great to have laundry facilities - washing machine and dryer. Very good location close to the centre of Derry, the Foyleside Shopping Centre and the Derry Girls mural. Contactless entry with good instructions received prior to arrival.

We had seen other comments about the shower leaking. We had the same issue, but we were aware of it from the reviews so we were able to control it! We were sleeping at the back of the property so noise from the road wasn’t an issue but may be at the front. These are minor issues though, for a lovely apartment with such excellent location!

Having no contact (the owners didn't answer our questions) meant far greater anxiety before the booking. We asked about parking (the booking.com site said there was parking. There wasn't. We found it for ourselves.)

The studio was well-equipped and in an excellent location. More than adequate!
