The shower was squirting everywere and toilet roll holder was hanging off and didt understand how to work the heating controls.

The bed was a bit hard but that could just be my overall preference. The linen was clean and the pillow comfortable. The keysafe for access was a nightmare to get open. It took a good while to just get in for the key and the same while trying to lock the key back again.

Clean, great access to Durham, Beamish and surrounding places of interest. Short walk to shops and eateries in the village. Property was spotless, everything you could require was on hand. The host was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

Beds very hard, unfortunately my family since have told me dishwasher not working and there was no plug for the sink making washing up hard and the apartment was lacking in the kitchen (no baking trays or measuring jugs etc)

The property was really nice inside spacious and nicely decorated. The location and grounds were lovely and it was close enough to the galleries etc

The apartment exceeded expectations. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and hassle free. Every family member was very happy with the home comforts including complimentary tea, coffee, shower gel ect.

Such a spacious apartment. We were 5 including 2 kids and it was very spacious and comfortable. Very clean too. Gordon was a great host, answering my messages within minutes. We'll definitely go back for longer.

For myself I did have to call the person to locate the key. However this was also partly because I have a terrible sense of direction. However about the property. Literally nothing wrong.

What wasnt there to like. Beautiful place. Quiet. Peaceful. Secure. Comfortable. Good entertainment facilities. Decent shower. Bed was so comfortable. One of the best nights sleep I've ever had. The price was so so cheap for what you get.

The only downside to the whole place was the fact there was no curtains in the bedrooms which made the rooms very bright, very early in the morning which made for some very early wake up calls from the kids.

Beautiful apartment that was very clean and you could tell everything was brand new. Great location within a lovely little village. Host easy to reach if anything was needed, not that we did as everything was spot on.

Beautiful historic building with fully modern well equipped apartment inside. A lot of care and thought has gone into this apartment, everything you need for a home away from home. Perfect location for access to shops, restaurants, Washington old hall etc, very easy to find, excellent communication from host. Onsite secure parking.

There was a bad smell around the communal entrance area. Apart from that the actual apartment was very good.

A roomy two bedroom apartment. Very spacious. Excellent equiped kitchen. Lovely historic building. Quiet location. Easy parking. Good internet. Gordon messaged to make sure we were comfortable. An ensuite and a second bathroom.

This was an incredible amount of space for the price. Perfect for traveling with our adult child. And the location was very nice with a handful of pubs and restaurants a very short walk away.

Unfortunately, i booked for a night, and when I wanted to renew, I couldn't due to no more availability. I understand its hot cake in the market, so we need more like that in that same location. Thanks

The whole serenity and easy accessibility did it for me. I was also impressed at how spacious and neat the apartment was, I commended the owner afterwards. Also, not forgetting the chill spots out in the compound, I made the most of my stay.

As this is a new property (recently refurbished) there were a few teething problems - the boiler was not working on arrival so no hot water and then the hot water tap on the bath seized. Also there were no towels in the property and some absent cookware in the kitchen. However the owner was truly expectational in resolving the problems. After contacting him he immediately arranged for a plumber to attend (on two occasions) which they did very promptly and for towels to be dropped off. He also provided a refund for the inconvenience which was very generous.

Property is very comfortable and well equipped. The location is excellent and the owner was very helpful.
