How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing. Well equiped, well heated apartment.
We had to book at very short notice. Our host was responsive and met us on site. Liked that the apartment is set up for two couples or a family, making it good value in those circumstances.

The only thing that the kitchen is missing is a couple of knifes to be able to cut food properly in case you want to cook :)
The apartment was nice and comfortable, perfect location in my case, just 20-30 mins walking to the city center and still plenty of stores and restaurants around. Super easy check in and Erla was a great host.

Good sized bedrooms, able to fit travel cot and still have plenty of space in main bedroom. Did not use kitchen to cook in, but seemed to have plenty of equipment to prepare simple meals for 4, and perfectly sufficient for breakfasts.. Space in hallway to store a folded pram and still navigate around. Good wifi signal throughout property.

Easy access and so grateful it was aground floor unit with no stairs. it was well appointed, beautifully warm and showers were hot with good flow. It was easy walking distance to hotels for dinner and other places of interest

Very clean apartment, well equipped (towels, soap, shampoo, kitchen), two large double bedrooms with own en-suite bathrooms. Host was very nice and provided all information that we needed during our stay. There was no problems with returning a deposit. Quiet area with free on-street parking. Close to shops, restaurants and pubs. City centre only 30 minutes walk or 15 minutes by a bus.

Some shower gel would have been useful as we were running very low on our own, but not a big issue.
Incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating host (we booked at the very last minute when a flight cancellation meant an unexpected two extra nights in N Ireland). The apartment is compact but well designed, well equipped, spotlessly clean and the area was very quiet during our stay. My husband was easily able to work from the dining area with great WIFI whilst my teen son and I explored the area for the day (plenty to do within walking distance, including the Botanical Gardens, but we had great fun at 'Prison Island', a tour of the NI football stadium and a lovely lunch, all around the Lisburn Road area). Really glad we found this apartment as it helped us to make the most of an unfortunate situation. We would be very happy to stay again.

Handle on the ensuite bathroom in 1 bedroom was loose.Not a major thing,I tightened it as best I could but it loosened again.
The cleanliness and location.The coffee press and ground coffee was a nice touch.Very comfortable beds.Walking distance to shops and nice quiet area.Very happy and would highly recommend this apartment.

Great apartment. Comfortable and plenty of space. Also well equipped. The hosts where very attentive to any questions or queries and immediately dealt with a small problem I had with operating the dishwasher. Will certainly stay again on a future trip to Belfast.

The beds were not comfortable, neither the mattresses nor linens.
It was a fun little neighborhood, felt safe walking at night. There is a wonderful pub at the end of the street, where my cousin and I were welcomed as friends. The apartment was super clean! The towels were nice quality and plentiful.

The apartment is lovely- it has everything you need! There is instant hot water when you put on the gas and the apartment heats up very quickly. The dishwasher was a great help for cleaning dishes and not having to do them by hand. Definitely recommend going here- the price was fantastic

Short of a crockery could have done with a few more plates. The television was a little out of date being quite small and not smart.
The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean with powerful showers.
