The only thing I would say is it was soooo warm, we noticed the radiators were on in the toilets.

The grounds are just beautiful, we attended a wedding here on Saturday. To be honest the staff were absolutely fantastic they couldn’t do enough for you as a guest. Lovely lady behind reception gave me her bobble (so lovely) I was a little worse for wear the morning after (too many Proseccos) they went out their way to make sure I was ok! The day was just so special, lovely facilities aswell, love the new updated decor.

Couldn’t fault it

Really liked this hotel. In a two week period of a different hotel every night this wash head & shoulders above the rest. Great layout, good food, great staff, nice outside seating, EV chargers that were easy to use. The Blue Bell Inn up the road was also great for food, if like us you stay a few days

In a delightful setting, the hotel staff, even though very busy, made every effort to get me a table for dinner even though I had forgotten to book. The room I had was spacious and well equipped.

I was in room 16 and the shower was not right and I could not take the plug out of the bath so my feet got a bath at the same time as I showered

The outside light on all night outside room 60, I get that it's for security but it needs to be adjusted to face down the drive. Limited lighting in the main room was a little bit of a problem when reading. Noise level and closeness of tables in the evening restaurant made it difficult for my husband and I to hold a conversation.

Easy to locate from motorway. Property and setting was beautiful. Staff were friendly from check-in to check-out. Food was good with plenty of variety, Room was lovely and spacious - husband slept through his morning alarm due to the second most comfortable bed that he has ever slept in worldwide!! Home being no 1 :)

There wasn't an in loco gym. There is a partner facility in Pontefract which wasn't convenient.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was also very good. Room and bed were very comfortable. Brasserie was first night of reopening. Food there was very good but a bit pricey.

No porterage offered. Reception doesn't tell you that accommodation block is connected to main building on first floor, enabling one to avoid steep, sometimes slippery path outside.

Country house hotel with spacious and in-keeping modern linked additional accommodation block. Dated bistro currently being updated. Main restaurant décor gorgeous, menu expensive but interesting, very extensive wine list. EV charging, nice grounds, ample parking. Helpful, attentive staff.
