How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Just a bit on the small side - I was on my own so not too much of a problem but would be difficult with 2 people.
Very clean (other than outside of window). Very modern appliances and shower. Very quiet, virtually no external noise even though next to a pub and close to various train lines.

Everything was superb, we didn’t like the fact it didn’t have an elevator so we had to get our suitcases upstairs alone!

My room was changed at the last minute. Sone kind of building work inside the building in the morning Too many emails

Internet speed and reliability must be looked at. There was no safe in the flat (although description didn't include one). Would be nice to have.
Very clean and very new Appartments. Really well located just a few meters from the tube station. Very friendly staff and responded to my queries very quickly. The building was nicely decorated and the flat was fully equipped with a full kitchen, table, nice new modern bathroom with toiletries, and new fridge.

Internet wasn’t very strong, long loading times for webpages.
Amazingly close to subway/train stations so very easy to get around. Clean and presentable inside. Great shower and comfortable bed.

The room was very warm. Even with the window open (cool outside) the room took some time to cool down. No aircon.
Excellent location. Comfortable and clean rooms. Easy to use key box and let yourself in. Helpful staff when we called them.

The correspondence included email reminders of access codes and even a YouTube link on how to access the apartment. The effortless in check procedure. Tea and coffee were supplied, the small microwave and wonderful shower.

Weak Wi-fi connection. Otherwise everything was excelent.
Nice and tidy apartment. Well equiped kitchen. Very close to metro station - 1 minute by walk. I would stay again there.

I would add a strainer in the kitchen. The wifi was also pretty weak when I was there, which was an issue for me as I had to work from the apartment a whole afternoon, otherwise I don't think it is critical.
Perfect location just next to the underground and overground station, while being very quiet. Information provided were very clear, the place was very clean and well maintained.

It met my full expectations. I intended to re-explore West Hampstead since I used to live there "back in the days" and it was perfect for that. It was very close to both ThamesLink and the Metro. I'd stay there again.

The Wi-Fi was pretty bad. The sound proofing in the room wasn’t very good, I could hear the cars in street at night. You could also hear other guests sometimes. The fire alarm went off because of the steam of a guest’s shower, so the apartments might benefit from better ventilation or a different placement for the fire alarms.
The room was spacious, the bathroom was small but very functional, the location was great. The fire alarm went off, but the staff was quick to respond (even though there is no permanent staff on site).

Never got the wifi to work on any of the devices, struggled to connect, once connected to the network, the internet still didn’t work. To be fair, the customer service was very responsive, but without the access to the internet it was hard to receive messages and communicate.
Easy check in and check out, it was very clean, comfortable, had all the essentials.

The wifi was terrible. This wouldn't be appropriate for anyone wanting to do any sort of work.
I thought the rooms were perfect for what was needed. It was very close to public transport. Self check in was easy.

The WiFi service was erratic and didn’t always work which was irritating The toilet seat and toilet roll holder were both loose which could easily be fixed This should be checked and fixed between customers

Leakage of light around blind, could have overlapped window more to block more light. Also street traffic noise started at 2:30am. Earplugs would have helped.
Bed was extremely comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Shower very nice.

Located on busy high street and windows didn’t help with traffic / people noise at late hours.
Excellent location . 2 mins from underground and overground stations. Clean and well maintained property with good attention to detail in the decor and facilities.
