Only downside is tv channels are limited. But on the plus side when the weather was bad we probably chatted more without the distraction of the box.

I loved the quiet location. It was rural but only a 15 minute walk to Brodick. We arrived as foot passengers and Matthew picked us up with our luggage. The cottage has everything you need and the bed is huge. We loved watching the plethora of birds and red squirrels at the bird feeders every day.

It was good value, a great location, clean, comfortable a really friendly and helpful host. Having red squirrels visiting the bird feeder was an added bonus!

This is an ideal stay for anyone who wants to be in countryside but in walking distance to Brodick and the main ferry terminal. It has a beautiful view of Goatfell and the surrounding hills and is south facing so has some wonderful sun (if you are lucky) in the afternoon and evening. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had a good range of facilities for anyone who wants to self-cater. A pub with decent food is just a couple of minutes walk away.

When you sat on one side of the sofa it felt like you were almost sitting on the floor.

It is nicely hidden away from the main town but not to far that it’s a burden. It was warm and cosy with great views of the hills and wild life. There were lots of red squirrels rabbits woodpeckers and other small birds every morning right outside the front door.

ABSOLUTELY everything we could possibly want was there, even egg cups, measuring jug, tin foil, weghing scales, food mixer... you get the idea. All immaculately clean and fesh. Modern design. Welcome pack of local treats was lovely. Boutique products in bathroom a nice touch. We felt really at home and very special. Even a tub if bird food was supplied to refil the bird feeder. Lovely location with fantastic views. Really warm and cosy. Plenty of instant hot water.

The location was stunning. It was easy to go for beautiful walks from the cottage and also walk to Brodick . The house was spotless and had everything you needed. Although it was small, it felt spacious because of the design. It was lovely to see the stars through the skylight at night. The welcome pack items were delicious.

Unfortunately, no one met us on arrival to hand over keys. The property was a good distance from the main road and the last few hundred yards were in the dark, hence the torches attached to the keys.

The accommodation was clean, modern and had everything we needed. Private parking and wi-fi included. The massive king size bed was really comfortable. The outside space was perfect to enjoy the evening sun before/after dinner.

The view is beautiful and close enough to walk to Brodick,the beach, the Goat fell trailhead,and Brodick Castle. Also close to ferry .

Leaving for home!

Wonderful stay, the location was fabulous at the end of a out of town track. The hosts welcomed us warmly and provided a few nice treats on arrival. The cottage is presented immaculately throughout and has everything needed for a home from home holiday. The hosts provided bird and squirrel food for us to top up the garden feeders at leisure and we where rewarded with numerous species of birds visiting constantly and we mean, constantly, a few Red Squirrels also visited daily, which made for excellent tea time relaxation after long days on the hills. The whole experience far outweighed our expectations for the budget we used and we would not hesitate to recommend and indeed, we ourselves will be back for sure at some point in the future as a week simply was not enough. Thank you for a most wonderful week on Arran.

Everything! We had an amazing week, Arran was already awesome to us, but west knowe cottage was the icing on the cake so comfortable and genuinely felt like home. Will definitely be back!

Very clean, tidy and comfortable with nice touches. Many birds (and a red squirrel) to see on the feeders through the window and plenty of food available to keep them topped up.

We loved it. We had such a relaxing week. It was a lovely cottage to come back to.

Absolutely lovely cottage, location and hosts. Just one thing to note is that taller people may struggle with the ceiling upstairs which is built into the roofspace so may need to crouch a little.
