The internet didn’t work but I hooked my phone up to the television and used my personal hotspot so that was sorted, also even though we didn’t see the hosts other than getting to the cottage, it made us feel like we were teenagers when needing to walk past the main house so was slightly off putting going out

Only 1 hand towel provided, (2 bath towels) The quilt cover looked lovely but the material was not comfortable, rather scratchy. The email sent on the night of my arrival reminding me the £50 charge should i fail to check out on time was unnecessary, blunt and not the most pleasant of welcomes.

West Mead cottage was beautifully furnished and decorated. Everything was of a high standard. It was superclean, warm and comfortable, a peaceful place to relax and unwind.

It's under the Liverpool Airport landing flight path, but not particularly noticeable.

Lovely rural location. Easy to find with the directions supplied by the host. Private and not over looked. Just a half hour drive from central Liverpool.

Told on the day of arrival that a part was needed for jacuzzi rather than beforehand so only half the jets were working on it.

Area was lovely and peaceful, property was clean and cosy. Bed was lovely and comfortable. Facilities in property were more than adequate. Horses on the property were so friendly. Great experience overall.

The jet setting on the hot tub was the only available option, the blower didn’t work. That’s our only criticism.

Smallest thing (and fully appreciate it is self catering), they provided a pod coffee machine but there was no sugar and we didn’t realise until after we’d been the shops (which there were great directions to!) had we booked to stay longer than the one night we would have gone back out but didn’t see the point once we’d realised.

The property was lovely and really well laid out. The pictures shared give a true reflection of the property and it’s sizing, perfect for 2 people. The hot tub was exceptionally well maintained and clean, it was set to the perfect temperature too! Directions provided were very good and the location was very secluded and owners have set up really well for full privacy.

There was nothing I would change. It was all perfect for us.

West Mead Cottage is a real gem. Everything was so well thought out for their guests and the decor and ambiance of the cottage was gorgeous. Steve, Mair and the family were wonderful hosts - a truly lovely family. We stayed for 3 nights over Easter and really appreciated the Easter Simnel cake and chocolates that greeted us on our arrival. We enjoyed using the hot tub each evening and enjoyed the privacy and peaceful location of the cottage.

slightly over priced 3pm check in and 10am check out allowed £30.00 late check out which was nice of them but a-bit pricy.

cosy very homely like, they left nice crisps and chocolate for us on arrival and small gins which was nice of them. very easy to contact if you need something. your not bothered by no one it’s lovely setting complementary slippers and robes.

The check in time was 3 and check out the next day was 10am. I feel for the price it was very short amount of time in the property. Would have preferred an earlier check in or later check out

Beautiful cottage, quiet, peaceful stay, liked everything about it, clean, provides everything you need, cosy at night, hot tub, seating area and private. I took my parter away for his birthday, the host was kind enough to put birthday banners up prior to our arrival, even left a chocolate orange (my favorite) me and my partner actually said we could live there, it was that perfect. Village was so lovely, great pub the seven stars a 3 minute walk, great food in there too!

Nothing everything was good. Only thing missing was some teabags . Could have done with pin for sky .

The one downside I suppose was that I was misled by the ‘welcome pack’. On the website the photos showed a welcome pack with wine, cereal, scones and jam, fruit, biscuits and other goodies. In actuality there was 2 small packs of crisps and a block of chocolate! But luckily we’d taken most of the food we needed so not a problem really.

We loved the whole experience. The location was to die for overlooking beautiful countryside, with total privacy. The hot tub in our little courtyard was a bonus.
