Absolutely nothing!

Another delightful few days spent at Westerley Country B&B, Shelley and Pete are the most wonderful hosts! The property itself is very spacious and spotlessly clean, the beautiful gardens are the perfect place to relax. Our dog Rogo had endless fun with Elsie the Labrador and Harvey the Golden Retriever both extremely friendly! Breakfast was excellent and copious, a perfect place to spend a few days in Devon!

Beautifully located in the south Devon countryside. Pete and Shelley were such amazing hosts and were very helpful in suggesting restaurants and local attractions. Shelley’s breakfasts were outstanding - cereals, toast, muffins, hot cross buns, crumpets, yoghurts, gorgeous fruit selections - really outstanding! They couldn’t have been nicer to us all.

Shelley was a fantastic host, very communicative and friendly. The B&B is modern, spacious and clean, and the garden is absolutely beautiful. The breakfast spread was also fabulous, and Shelley worked around us and our plans so our stay was very easy.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We received a wonderfully warm welcome from Shelley and it was the perfect place to stay - in the middle of the countryside but close to beaches and lovely pretty towns. The beds, the breakfasts, the gardens, the space, the dogs….everything was just right. A very happy place to stay.

Shelley and Pete were super friendly with nothing to much trouble. We travelled with our dog Max. Pete and shelley are exceptionally dog friendly and Max felt at home and so did we 😃. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay again when travelling that way.

There’s nothing we disliked

We liked how friendly and welcoming it was from the moment we arrived. Upon arrival we were shown around and in the children’s bedroom they had changed the bedding to Christmas bed sheets and had hot chocolate, chocolate Santas and ginger bread men biscuits waiting. The rooms were lovely and spacious with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was made each morning beautifully with plenty of choice. Shelley interacted with our children playing with them and letting them feed their fish in the pond…

Beautifully appointed, clean and very comfortable. Fantastic garden and perfect for our dog. Shelley and Pete were such nice people and make you feel very relaxed from the off. And they love dogs! It felt like home.

Everything! Shelley and Pete could not have been more accommodating. They are a delightful couple and go above and beyond. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, having the lounge makes this far more than a simple B&B and, above all, we felt genuinely welcomed and this included all of our dietary needs being catered for at the exceptional breakfast table. Thank you both for a wonderful stay :)

Just one tip maybe put a sliding door at top of the stairs instead of the blind division as would be more soundproof.

Lovely location, super friendly hosts, gorgeous dogs Harvey and Elsie , Shelley and Pete are great hosts the place was immaculate with quality bedding and really spacious rooms, bathroom is huge with underfloor heating, breakfast was fab with lots to choose from fruits , pastries, cereal etc too much for us but shared with the dogs who were happy to help 😁 microwave in the lounge was huge bonus especially for my daughter, the garden is immaculate and enjoyed watching the birds eating from the hanging feeder, pete was a good laugh at breakfast and Harvey the dog would bring us all his cuddly toys , shame it was raining would of been fabulous in the sunshine as it is so pretty outside.

There is absolutely nothing not to like

Hard to know where to beginning, the warm welcome, the kindness of our hosts, the excellent breakfast,their two gorgeous dogs, we had a fantastic time at Westerley and would travel all the way to Devon just to stay there again without hesitation! Thank you Shelley and Pete for looking after us so well during our stay (and Rogo of course!) best hosts ever!

Nothing could be improved.

Perfect hosts, perfect location - what was not to like! We were lucky enough to spend six glorious days at the Westerly Country B&B. Shelley, Pete, their son Ben, not to mention the magnificent and beautifully behaved dogs Harvey and Elsie, welcomed us with open arms to this lovely home from home. Breakfast was a limitless choice of coffee, tea, fresh fruit, pastries, yoghurt to name but a few from the daily cornucopia on offer. The accommodation is spotless, very well equipped and the private lounge is a real luxury. Such generous hosts who clearly delight in the comfort of their visitors. The garden is so tranquil with stunning views across the South Hams and the moors, beaches, unique towns and villages of Dartmoor on the doorstep. You can do as much or as little as you please but you will definitely relax - no question about it.

The owners, Shelley and Pete, were so friendly and made us really welcome. The accommodation was modern, extremely comfortable, and spotlessly clean. It was a bonus to have use of the lounge and the beautiful garden. And the two wonderful dogs, Harvey and Elsie, were great fun to play with! (although Shelley and Pete were careful to be sure you were happy with dogs before letting them into the garden). Huge continental breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt, croissants and more! This was the best B&B during our trip through Devon and Cornwall. Shelley is a particularly warm and generous hostess. The rooms are very nice, clean and friendly. You even get a cosy living room with a big TV and some tableware and a fridge. The bathroom was huge with a bathtub and a walk-in shower, many towels and shower gels. Breakfast is also very generous and with so much choice that we could never eat all. We all fell in love with this wonderful place and our teenage daughter didn't want to leave. There is much to see in the surrounding areas, and 3 days were definitely not enough time to see it all. We are looking forward to come back one time ...

We already visited many b&b´s over the last years and this one is for us far the best one we ever had. Everything was top from the reception and welcoming to the accomodation. Very spacious rooms and the lounge was super. Garden was also very beautiful. Shelly is superb host.

The property was very well presented and very clean and very well decorated. It was nice to be able to go in the back garden and play with the kids and if you’re happy with dogs the owners let the very friendly dogs out who just want to play. Shelley and Pete were great hosts and very friendly and the continental breakfast was just amazing we will go back.

I felt bad at how much food we wasted. the breakfast was delicious just there was more than we could manage, maybe the toasted things could have been done as needed to avoid waste. but this is literally the only minor comment I had, it’s a fantastic set up with friendly hosts who made us most welcome
