Room too small. Difficult to move around and no space to pull out chair to sit. Can hear next door talking . No elevator. No help offered to bring luggage upstairs.

Right in center of town and 5 min walk to train station. Very clean. High quality toiletries.

    Absolutely nothing!

Literally everything! It was the perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds. The hotel has great history and the entire staff was so accommodating, polite, helpful, cheerful and just awesome! The food was delicious, my room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable.

Breakfast service could be a lot more consistent. But I must say that the breakfast spread is amazing!

The property has some interesting history connected with the Royals. Won’t speak about it much but this is one of the oldest coaching inns in the country! The location is apt for a base if your tour is focused on Cotswolds. Don’t forget their breakfast. A great tip: Every Tuesday, they have an amazing Farmer’s market bang opposite this property. A great experience!

We should have done a little more research on the small double room accommodation. The bed was quite small for 2 adults. But the bathroom was excellent.

The location was great. The restaurant and bar were wonderful.

Toilet had a running problem, lots of stairs (both up and down) to room, crooked floors, daily housekeeping included only minimal cleaning, some of the desk staff weren’t as helpful or friendly as expected, no A/C and poor airflow making the room stuffy even in cool weather

Perfect location, delicious breakfast, charming property, comfortable bed, clean bathtub

    Nothing

Food in snug was lovely and we were able to book our table in advance, before we arrived. Breakfast was lovely and a good selection on the menu, rooms were warm, very clean and the beds were comfy and nice fresh clean bedding and towels and plenty of tea/coffee supplied. I would highly recommend this hotel for its staff, location and clean, comfy rooms.

Not being able to get a drink at the bar, table service only. There were still screens up at the bar and made it feel like we were still in times of covid.

Excellent staff. Good food. Comfortable room.

A little noisy from the road early evening due to the fair opposite and early morning traffic.

Nothing bad perse, perhaps it could just do with a bit of sprucing up in terms of decor. Like all hotels in the Cotswolds, its expensive!

Friendly staff who were keen to help. Comfortable room with nice extras like a nice coffee machine, and snacks. A large breakfast that wasn't anything to write home about, but was good.

It didn’t effect our stay and we had everything we needed in the bathroom but it did look like it needed an update soon but it was sparkling clean and very functional.

Had a free up grade to a beautiful four poster bedroom and even included a chocolate bar each and lavender and chamomile spray on the bedside table. Lots of lovely old character in the hotel and two lovely lounges and a log fire in the bar. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Booked deluxe room for the extra space but it wasn’t as described- no sofa or separate seating area. Bathroom looked fabulous but all style and no substance. shower was disappointing and couldn’t look into the mirror as it was too low.

Great location - cosy hotel with lots of history and period features - plenty of quiet areas to sit and relax and bedrooms well equipped - food was excellent and good value and staff were brilliant- great attention.
