I couldnt fault the place. I asked for a flatter pillow and within a few hours it was there.

I loved the decor and ambience of the station guest house. I also loved the warm and friendly owners attention to detail of little extras. (My fresh baked cookies and xmas stocking)

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay. The house is beautiful. Breakfast was superb, with the breakfast specials a must. We had a lovely warm welcome from Pauline & Steve, with tea and cake on arrival. Location was great for us. Hope to return next year with other members of the family.

We have never had such a warm welcome than one we received from Pauline and Steve - thank you. We were treated to a complimentary tea and yummy cake on arrival and sat in the gorgeous lounge used by guests. Sadly we didn’t have time to use honesty bar, but it was great to have the option. Our room was more than comfortable, bed was huge and all the bed linen, pillows and towels were sumptuous- rooms were very tastefully decorated giving a real luxurious feel to our stay. We loved every bit of it 💕.. and slept like royalty, the house and surroundings was really quiet - hearing the occasional toot toot in the day from the steam railway next door and the slight smell from the steam engine from the terrace were a delight to our senses - transporting my partner back in time to his early years when he used to go on the steam trains with his now deceased dad- priceless happy memories re-ignighted. All rooms, corridors and stairs were spotlessly clean, we were thankful for the discreet hand sanitisers on the walls as my partner is immunosuppressed. Pauline was happy to accommodate our request for no room service during our stay and was happy and creative to arrange an alternative way to supply tea/coffee/milk/ homemade biscuits top up for our room. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was to die for, loads of choice and the quality of the produce was excellent. (I have jam envy from the homemade damson jam ☺️). Location was perfect for us, Churston Golf club just across the road and also bus stop just up the road taking you into brixham or further afield should we have wanted to. All in all a first class stay, I think Pauline and Steve with their staff must work incredibly hard maintaining the high standards they want for their guests. It is appreciated- thank you, we hope to return soon.

The hosts, Steve and Pauline, and the rest of the staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The guest house is lovely, our room was furnished in a beautiful way, it was very comfortable and super clean. Breakfast was delicious, especially the chef’s specials. Being able to see the steam train from our window was a nice touch. We’ll definitely be back!
