Hotel car park was small , so no room to park and in afternoon, most of the parking spaces close to the hotel were occupied. Working at the weekend, the breakfast start at 08:00 meant later than normal start to the day.

I've stayed a few times now, and it is pleasant enough. I would say just two things - 1) I was put in the same room I have been in before, and it really needs a revamp and a lick of paint. Overdue. 2) Veggie full English breakfast on the first day was really great. Well presented. 2 eggs, 2 really nice veg sausages, tomato, mushroom, hash brown, beans, smashed avocado and spinach that was a lovely touch. The next day was not great. 1 egg, 1 sausage, no mushroom, no spinach, no avocado. Different chef on duty maybe, but needs consistency.

Staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. Our room was comfortable, and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, which is centrally located in beautiful Aldeburgh and right on the beach.

My room was upstairs. There is a lift however it doesn’t allow you to access all areas: you still have to go up and down some stairs. I was fine but anyone with mobility issues would struggle. I would’ve preferred at least one stronger light in the bedroom, but that’s being picky now.

I’d booked a double room just for me. It was a very good size for one person with a separate dressing area. Some nice touches such as bath robe. Breakfast was very good and good value for money. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fruit salad with yoghurt and berry compote. For someone travelling alone, the staff were professional, friendly and welcoming.

A lovely hotel right on the sea front. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and had a really good selection of gluten free meals on the menu. I can recommend the the 'fish of the day'.

The evening menu was very limited and all the food that had been fried wasn't crispy just a little soggy. Drinks where nice and staff where friendly. Room was alright nothing special but clean. Bathrooms need a little updating. Couldn't shower without flooding the floor.

Common areas upstairs a little tired compared with the downstairs lounge, bar and restaurant.

Comfortable room and good breakfast, particularly the fresh fruit with yoghurt and granola. Great location right on the seafront. We enjoyed happy hour in the bar!

The locals that drink lots and smoke constantly on the doorstep making the restaurant and hotel stink. The parking can be difficult but that is Aldeburgh it's very popular.

The hotel is in a lovely location. We have stayed before and enjoy being there. The bistro was open again, had we been staying longer we would have eaten there. All comfortable and clean with friendly staff.

Disappointed with breakfast on the first day. Ordered decaf tea and a full english with fried egg but received decaf coffee and part full english (items missing) and with a boiled egg. Clearly my order had been muddled with someone else's. The server went to the kitchen to check and then brought out a fried egg on a side plate. Only a partial rectification and no explanation or apology. Shower over the bath not a problem but as an older person with mobility issues I would have appreciated a grab handle on the wall. Communication before the stay was a bit hit and miss in respect of reservations for dinner.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and general decor was well thought through. felt relaxing. Public areas were clean and well appointed. The Sea Spice restaurant was absolutely fantastic and the food was wonderful - cooked with real knowledge and passion. Reasonable free parking available.
