How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I didn’t like the hotel staff they were rude and unfair to us. I will never be staying there again due to the manager on Saturday night. Supplement charges are a joke too

Bathroom leaked from shower door (by hinge) and made a huge puddle. Extractor fan wasn’t working either. Not majors but didn’t let the Hotel know as was too busy with work commitment etc.

There was no full length mirror in room 238 that would have been nice. But the other room we had 301 did have a full length mirror. The bathroom wall next to the shower had a lot of blond hair stuck to it which was a bit yucky. When we first arrived the room was baking hot and no aircon but the window did open wide to vent the room.
The room was a good size and relatively comfortable.

The bed was far too hard despite having a mattress topper. I won’t be returning unfortunately as I can’t sleep on such a hard mattress and I can normally sleep anywhere 🤷🏻♀️
Everything was great, nice food, breakfast was great, spa was lovely, location was lovely and a good price.

Had a last minute deal and stayed at a different part of the hotel. The room sizes vary greatly so be aware. I had limited view and was greeted by the pigeons on the windowsill in the morning and at night. The twin room booked was made up as a double but immediately rectified by unzipping beds. I like the pool and leisure facilities but they have been separated from the spa area. There is one jacuzzi and an unused jacuzzi that has been out of action for years apparently. If being a little picky then the courtyard bit could do with a clean up.
Luxury feel to the hotel, professional and friendly staff and rural location.Our inclusive breakfast was delicious.

My husband wasn't so keen on the breakfasts as he felt they suffered from being mass produced. He enjoyed the A la carte one he had today!
I was very pleased with being able to get oat milk and gluten free cereal for breakfast as I normally have to bring my own. I thought the swimming pool was super. Room was very comfortable. Very useful to be able to charge the car!

Only thing we found a problem was how unbelievably warm the place is. We came down for dinner and ended up going back to the room and ordering room service as we couldn’t cope with the heat downstairs.

Unfortunately the bed was ridiculously uncomfortable, it was the only downside to the stay. The mattress, the quilt, and the pillows, all need updating I believe to make this a lovely stay. There are so so many rooms and noisy neighbours that a comfortable bed seems vital

Ate dinner in the bar instead of the restaurant, Wife felt the Carrbonara was rather bland. My burger was good though
Breakfast was very good. Very pleasing to see staff working the floor, no hint of any food running out. Don't always get that at other hotels.

Bathroom fan not working, reported on arrival still not fixed by time we left. Room remote from main hotel with longish walk to get breakfast and needed to take coats due to cold/rain.
Good size room and facilities albeit remote from main hotel. Good breakfast choice and quality. Evening meal in restaurant overpriced for quality and choice.

Big hotel with only 2 lifts ...having to walk a good bit from the lift to get to the our room ( asked for a change of room and they did luckily ) no porter available to take the luggage considering the distances to get there ......lifts are slow coming having to use the stairs in many occasions ....standard .rooms are quite small
