Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe took breakfast food with us to cook the next morning but we couldn’t work the hob. We tried to access the QR code on the TV to get instructions on how to use it, but we couldn’t get the TV to switch on, so we gave up and went downstairs to have breakfast in the cafe below.
The location was great for us. We were in Manchester for a day/night out at Progress, which was only a 20 minute walk from the apartment. It was great that we could check-in early. The apartment was really clean and modern. There is a cafe below the apartment where we had a lovely breakfast the next morning.

United KingdomOne mirror by doorway area which was exceptionally dark. Impossible to apply make up etc as no lights / plugs and mirrors in the suitable place. It would have been easy to rectify by providing a mirror in the lounge area.
Room was very spacious and the colour scheme was good. seating area was bright and airy. Fine for two people would have been a squash if the sofa bed was used as well.

United KingdomWe liked everything.
Super contemporary, centrally located aparthotel with brilliant extra facilities on site - gym, restaurant, lounge, coffee shop - all with a relaxed but stylish feel. Rooms were well maintained and clean with good kitchen facilities. Reception and hospitality staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Perfect for a relaxing city break.

United KingdomThe property was lovely. The only thing I have to say is that the gap underneath the main door of my apartment let in a lot of lights from the hallway which kept me awake at night. I did mention this to the lady in reception which did ruin my two nights sleep to be honest.
Great location

United KingdomThe hotel itself is beautiful, it's well thought out and our room exceeded expectations. The staff were the nicest and most welcoming we've come across in a long time. Excellent place, we would make it our first choice when visiting Manchester again!

United KingdomOnly thing more I’d have asked for is more tea bags in the room, really not that big of a deal but with 3 of us staying there it would have been nice to have enough for us all to have a cuppa or 2.
Great place to stay, in a really good location. Room was lovely and very clean. We had an accessible room because 3 of us were staying so hard to comment on spaciousness of a standard room, but our room was lovey, lots of space, lovely little kitchen area with a table etc. the staff there are lovely, really friendly and helpful and the venue itself is lovely, very cool (way too cool for us lol). Their ground floor reception area is a mix of chilled seating, with a coffee shop one side, a bar the other side, and a restaurant tucked off to the side too. It’s clearly place people go to work on their laptops in a great environment throughout the day. I’d have killed for this place in my twenties lol.

United KingdomOur room was on the ground floor near reception and the laundry room, it was really really noisy. The room also had no view. We have stayed before and booked the same size / style of room and the previous room location was far better and far quieter. Other than the noise, nothing we didn't like.
We have stayed here before for the proximity to the theatre. Really good location, 5 minute walk to the theatre, really close to the train station also. Staff (I think it was Grace) on reception when we checked in was very friendly. Room was spacious and comfortable.

United KingdomThe property was beautiful. Very well equipped and the rooms were immaculate. Although we didn’t eat there the prices were so reasonable for central manchester. Amy at the desk was amazing, so hospitable and her little dog James was the cutest boy on our check out. The whole hotel smelt delightful and was perfectly presented. We stayed in a Whitworth Suite and would definitely recommend as the view over the canal made it so peaceful to say it’s so central. The little kitchenette was so useful and well equipped.

United KingdomThe shower. It's far far too low, I'm 6 foot 2 and had to half crouch to stop my head from hitting it every time, why you'd put a shower head that low I don't know. Literally the only negative I have about the place!
Friendly efficient staff checked us in quickly and dealt with any requests we had well. The rooms are well designed and very clean/comfortable.
