To state that the room had a river view was ridiculous. The view was of the car park. The river was miles away and it was only possible to get a view of it if we stood outside as it was in the far distance. This was the reason we had booked in the first place. This statement should be taken off the description as it is totally misleading.

The room and ensuite were immaculate. The room was in an annexe so there was no noise from the pub. Easy parking. Lovely old pub serving a good choice of food.

The room / pod was very compact.We were out and about most of the day but lay in the bed to watch the television ( women's semis!) They are still being added to as only a few months old. There is a sky light which in time really needs a cover to keep out light/ heat. Fortunately we weren't there during the really hot spell. For a 2 night stay the location suits us and l can't emphasize how friendly the staff were.

Great staff and very clean.Tea and coffee and a hair dryer in the room. Comfy bed. Good breakfast ..we had the £5 cereal , toast etc not the full English at £10 which looked great and other diners really enjoyed. These PODS, as they are described by the owner, are clean and compact.

very hospitable, we arrived in the recent heatwave, & every effort had been made to try & ensure rooms were comfortable. Good bed & great shower with quality toiletries provided. Despite location at a road junction, was very quiet. Popular pub with decent food.

The muesli and cereals - actually you need to think about topping them up a bit more often - they were quite low!

The breakfast was good although we just had fruit, yoghurt and a bit of muesli it was well presented and the coffee and toast was good with nice jam.

The room could have done with more storage space ie : - bedside cabinet. The tea coffee etc would have been better in a separate container instead of being in the mug which you had to empty first. They could also do with a couple of glasses for water.

We thought the breakfast were excellent, well presented. The choice was good and service was excellent. It was nice to have fresh fruit and yoghurt available.

The garden room was quite small and the sliding door to the en-suite bathroom didn’t offer much privacy but the bed was comfortable and it was quiet. I’d prefer to have a simple kettle as the breville hotcup was awkward to use - or I’m just not used to using it…. these are only small things!

The pub and staff was really amazing - the lady-owner was ever so friendly and approachable, nothing was a problem. The dinner was excellent - especially as my partner is celiac and there was a gluten-free option for him! Breakfast was very lovely, generous portions. Bed and shower was great..

Everything was fab!

The two rooms we booked were lovely! We didn’t expect such high quality but they were beautiful chalet type rooms, each with a very comfortable big bed, clean lovely bathrooms, TV, coffee and tea facilities and sound proof enough to block out the wild storm that was going on outside! The pub itself is very nice, we enjoyed a lovely dinner and an exceptional quality brekkie in the morning. Staff were hugely welcoming and warm which really helped as we were up staying overnight for an ashes scattering the following day so that really helped my auntie feel calm 🙂

Was lead to believe the hotel / Pub did bed and breakfast but it turned out that on the dates we stayed Breakfast was not available, so we had to find breakfast elsewhere. On arrival all heating was off in the room so had to go around switching everything on. The conservatory restaurant area was a little cold compared to the main bar area.

Location suited our needs, friendly staff, nice lounge with log burner. live entertainment on the Saturday evening was good as it bought many more people into the area. Evening meals were fine.
