Gorgeous apartment in a lovely part of the Lakes. Staff were exceptionally welcoming and couldn't have done more. Facilities were clean and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

The property is a good size for two people who need somewhere to stay of a few nights. The rooms are modern, tidy and comfortably warm with a parking space out front. There are numerous places to eat and the property is within easy travel to Keswick and Penrith. Off the beaten track so peaceful, plus local footpaths.

The TV was small and not a smart TV.

Widewath Barn is a lovely spacious cottage with a well equipped kitchen. It is in a very quiet but convenient location. All the places we visited were no more than 20 minutes drive away. Alice and George were great hosts.

We had originally booked it for three of us thinking it looked like there were three different rooms (by the pictures). One of our friends couldn’t come so there were two of us in the end which was probably good as the beds are all in one room.

The cleanliness of the property was phenomenal. The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming and thoughtful. It was such a cute little farm and we enjoyed the sheep, rams and doggies 🐑 🐏 🐶

Start to finish just the best experience! The hosts are great and couldn’t be more accommodating! The barn is fabulous and has just enough space for everyone whilst still being cosy. Great location with views that are out of this world. Just enough out of the way to enjoy while still being local villages near by

We loved the location which was perfect for exploring the Lakes. Also, it was great to be able to walk out the front door of the barn into open countryside and walk for miles catching glimpses of Ullswater along the way. The barn itself was lovely; lots of character and very comfortable. We hope to return again soon!

The only critique I have is the en-suite bathroom door squeaks which was quite loud in the mornings.

We loved the cottage/homely feel to the property! Felt like a home away from home! Good location to get to the places we wanted. And stunning view from the property door, beautiful!

We had one of the best holiday stays at Widewath barn. The hosts Alice and George are wonderful people who have put a lot of heart in making up the cottages. They shared some great walks and routes with us, and our toddler son loved learning about the farm life with George. The cottage was extremely clean, comfortable and cosy. We had the best sleep after spending the days in the nature. The facilities are very new, including a faultless shower. The cottage was very warm and it was easy to dry our wet clothes after walks. The surrounding area is beautiful, with some good walks right from the doorstep.

Wonderful barn conversion on a working farm. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. We had a very warm welcome from the hosts and the location was perfect for hiking and exploring the area.

Absolutely nothing… everything was fantastic!

We absolutely loved our stay at widewath barn, Alice and George were so welcoming, the barn was very clean, and has everything you could possibly need. The location was perfect, we had days out at pooley bridge, Ullswater, aira force waterfall… we will definitely be back. The farm was so peaceful, we watched the sheep being sheered, we had a bbq in the farm field over looking the beautiful scenery… we couldn’t have wished for a better experience. They are a lovely family… We will definitely be back :)
