Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCan't think of anything to dislike.
The location was out in the wilds of nature and exactly what we were looking for. We were very pleasantly surprised to find our host had left us milk and eggs. Lovely touch. Colin came and introduced himself and we had a really interesting conversation. He advised that mint keeps the midges/flies away and there was a mint plant on our veranda. Just tuck a leaf behind your ear and you're good to go! Excellent! Very warm wee pod - We stayed in Woodpecker. Parking was at the end of a short path and quite adequate. Fire pit was available with wood delivered on request by host, but we didn't avail of it due to warmth of weather. Eco friendly.

Loved the peaceful location, soooo may birds, loved waking up in the morning opening the window wide and listening to the birds with a cupa, the pod was very comfortable and very clean, the site owner Colin was very nice and he checked we we're OK and had all we needed, we used a park and ride to get into Edinburgh which was very easy and worked out alot cheaper than parking in Edinburgh, good shops only 10 min drive away, would definitely recommend and would definitely like to return ,

United KingdomNothing!
Fabulous hosts and a beautiful location with great accommodation. The pods were more spacious than expected and had everything that we needed. We arrived later than intended and very stressed due to our car breaking down and a few other unbelievable disasters on route. We had to drop our bags off quickly and head straight out again due to running late for a concert. Having told our host about our terrible journey we were incredibly surprised to return to our pod after the concert to find a bottle of bubbly with a happy birthday note attached to it (I had mentioned it was my birthday and it wasn’t quite going as planned!). So very thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Thank you. This really is a lovely little retreat with very helpful hosts who have great knowledge of the local area😊

United KingdomThe sofa was a bit uncomfortable after sitting on it for a while, but I guess that most people won't be sat there for too long and would be out and about instead. The cabins are a tiny bit close together for my liking, but as I said, it would be amazing for a larger group booking for all 3 pods or if you're a social person (and your neighbour is!). A small hoover would have been more useful than a dustpan and brush when you have a hairy shedding dog. The shower was on the smaller side, but perfectly manageable. The electric heater kept error coding (ERR3 I think), but we didn't really need the heater on anyway with the time of year.
Location was lovely and fairly remote. Although the cabins are not that far away from each other, you can't hear people staying in the other pods. It would be amazing for a group of people together though. There are enough amenities for a short stay although if you were staying longer, something like a combination oven would be useful instead of just a microwave and hob top, but this is glamping after all and people go away camping and caravanning with less, so I'm just being fussy and the pods are eco-friendly! The bed is comfortable and it was nice to not have to take all of your own bed linen and towels. Plenty of crockery, utensils and cookware to use. Decent amount of space for 2 people and a dog. You can hear lots of birds and sheep outside and rabbits racing around, so it's lovely if you like to be outside in nature. The hot water for the taps and shower came through very quickly.

United KingdomCouldn’t fault it at all.
What a wonderfully magical place! The pods were immaculate, very cosy and comfortable and our doggo loved it. The woods behind the pods were perfect for him to run around. The owners were absolutely lovely and have a true passion for rewilding which was so interesting to learn about. I started reading the book that was in the pod about rewilding and have since bought my own copy to continue it I was so inspired! Thank you very much, we hope to come back again!

There was nothing not to love about this place! It was clean, comfortable and warm. The owners are really lovely and even left milk and eggs for us on our arrival. The scenery is stunning and our dog loved his holiday too. Edinburgh, Rosslyn Chapel, and lots of other sites are within short driving distances. I can't wait to come back!
