Not much to dislike, slightly tired decor in places

Unique Manor House with character, staff are very sociable, polite and friendly. Good standard room, bathroom and common areas.

Beds (in the 'classic twin') were comfortable and clean but could have been a little firmer. No cocktails available.

The best thing was the friendly welcome. Staff were great. Rooms were very comfortable. At dinner, my main course was good but the starter was below par.

Always love returning to this beautiful house in Cheshire... Dinner was exceptional as always.. Staff so welcoming... room perfect.. The breakfast was lovely, ( so glad beans were not an extra on the menu like our last visit.). and this time came with our breakfast.. selection of toasts too which were welcomed, breakfast service was friendly and efficient..

Being told I had to pay extra for a late check out when I was leaving. This was never mentioned when I made the request.

Very comfortable and a relaxed. Great staff and lovely food.

I sympathise with running these lovely old buildings. Problems of maintenance and shortage of staff were recognised but I would always support these hotels in such lovely settings. My wife and I were perfectly happy with our stay of 2 days and would book again.

Location lovely, food good, dining room a delight in comfort and views.

Overpriced breakfast at £17 per person was just too much-they were charging this even for a child of 4yrs! We had much cheaper breakfast not too far from the hotel close to a farm. Information written on Bookings.com website is very misleading-pls note that bookings at this hotel are nonrefundable.

Large comfortable rooms, rooms were clean and facilities were as expected for the price, staff seemed pleasant and welcoming, plenty of onsite parking space.

everything seemed good , it would be a good idea to supply water in the room and it could do with a minor touch ups and improvement in the garden and hotel interior, overall very good

This was our third visit to Willington , it's a lovely peaceful place to stay and the hotel is charming, the rooms are excellent and the garden views are also very nice , staff and food was excellent, Micheal was very friendly and always there to please , will return again

Hard to find anything to say here - it surpassed expectations with the friendly welcome & service. This is not a sterile travel lodge, it is a characterful rural escape!

Super welcome from all staff & other guests. Very cosy, warm, with traditional courtesy -nothing too much. Lovely rural setting. A step back in time - a building with character . Excellent evening meal & breafast. Most efficient check in & out. Highly recommended - we will be back! Thank you

I’d booked a suite, dinner, bed and breakfast which was all fine but the hotel wanted to charge me an additional £40 for my cockapoo which wasn’t dirty and doesn’t molt. This was extremely disappointing as I’d paid a decent amount for the room.

We’d booked to stay there as we were on our way home and it was a lovely country house hotel. The staff were all lovely and the place itself was beautiful and had a lot of history.

Beautiful place but rather spoiled for us by the poor breakfast

The breakfast was very poor value for money. Despite the very high price there were no yoghurts, no croissants, no fruit, no porridge, no cheese. My wife doesn't eat a cooked breakfast but she still had to pay £15 or a weetabix, slice of toast and a cup of tea. Rather spoiled the overall feel of the stay

Beautiful old building. Spacious but comfortable. Set in lovely grounds giving pleasing views from all the windows. Nicely furnished bedroom and well appointed bathroom (although we couldn't work the window blind)

The cooked breakfast was delicious with it's locally sourced products. I don't think one item of bacon and Sausage suffice's as a 'full cooked breakfast', not in comparison with other hotels.

The view from our room was fantastic ! This was a 'get away' break after the death of my friend. The Manageress lady was fabulous and very helpful indeed, she obliged in taking some photo's for us too. We'd definately return 😊
