For some reason our room was very hot, wasn’t the radiators so wasn’t sure why. Expensive wine.

The breakfast needs some attention. The English breakfast was adequate but not delicious and the portions were a bit mean.

Limited choice of menu in the restaurant for dinner and all quite expensive. Would have eaten in there had the choices been more varied and some lighter options that maybe weren't so expensive.

It was a really lovely stay. Quiet. Clean. Friendly. Lovely decor and attention to detail. Gorgeous breakfast.

Beautiful hotel with great facilities in a stunning location! Everyone is really friendly and accommodating, the food is excellent (especially the roast dinner!) and the rooms are good quality. If you like old architecture, beautiful scenery and walking, it’s the perfect place to visit!! Was having so much fun that we spontaneously extended our stay.

Beautiful historic property, immaculately presented and close to all the village pubs, cafes, shops and places of interest. Fantastic breakfast. Clean, comfortable and divinely peaceful. A real haven.

Only my husbands health which put a dampner on the whole break.

Good choice but my husband ordered the kipper was tiny. Only had 2 breakfasts so not much else to tell. Second day full English was good.

We've stayed here before and, as always, it was delightful. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The staff are exemplary. A very nice lounge area where we enjoyed a G&T before supper. Wonderful location for walking. Easy and plentiful parking.

Our room was very hot. Pay more for a room and check you are not on the road side of the hotel as noisy if you want the window open. Restaurant lacks atmosphere but the food was good not exceptional. Staff warm and friendly.

Devore very elegant, room spotless, bed linen beautifully ironed, room request was accommodated, ie. Freestanding bath which I appreciated. Staff very helpful and friendly. Coffee machine and macaroons were lovely!

Just the price of a single glass (250ml) of white wine which was £14.00.

It’s a stylish boutique hotel, very warm and welcoming in a great location. Fab walks in all directions from the door. The food in the restaurant is extremely good and the staff were outstanding. The free teas and coffees in the lounge were much appreciated.

Not sure why hotels only leave one small shower gel when there are 2 people staying in a room. Also, pillows could have been plumper.

Staff were very friendly, breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Room was very clean. Pleased that pets are not allowed due to having allergies. Lovely to have a macaron in the room.
