To us, this is not a cottage, it’s a maisonette or flat.

Shower bracket is too high and not flexible for different users. Ceiling over bath needs repairing. Heating is timed and controls for switching heating on/off are located in other cottage/lodge, although, on arrival this was bought to our attention and if we wanted to increase/decrease the times it comes on or off we would just have to ask. We felt uncomfortable to do this. The written information for rubbish/recycling, we found confusing, along with the bins outside. Sorry, we forgot to put, the small kitchen waste out to the grey box outside. Early checkout. We opened the blinds in the lounge for more light only to have it bought to our attention, that, these are for warmth and should be closed. We basically spent the whole week in the dark with electric lighting on instead. We really did feel we were being watched all the time. The flooring creaks upstairs quite a lot and we felt that we were disturbing the gentleman in the downstairs lodge as we could hear him, so he must of been able to hear us. For us, the cottage didn’t feel independent enough for us to feel comfortable in. We appreciate the effort that the owners have gone too, it’s just that it’s not for us.

Location. Dog Friendly. Parking. Ample Garden. The hosts were friendly and attentive. Surprised to find a bottle of wine, milk and biscuits on arrival, very much appreciated this touch.

A lovely little cottage set in a delightful garden which we managed to enjoy despite the rain! A well equipped and comfortable base from which to explore North Norfolk.

My husband suffered with the sloping ceilings

The cottage was lovely, with a beautiful garden. Having the pub, which accepts dogs down the road was a real advantage.

The kitchen would benefit from some updating eg. a mid-sided dishwasher, some replacement sharp knives. The Booking .com website did not make it clear that the cottage was semi-detached. It is integral with a studio flat on the ground floor which was occupied. TV and voice sound can be heard in the living room, this we assume went both ways.

General feel and decoration of the cottage plus the garden space to side and rear.
