Made a special arrangement to book in earlier which on arrival the staff wasn't aware of the arrangement and couldn't assist with the arrangement, due to new staff employed. Arrangement as per booking confirmation arrival between 9-10 which we were then only able to return between 1-2. Bathroom could have been cleaner. The outside area to our room was untidy and not a pretty view. Also not comfortable to pull curtains open due to the possibility of staff being able to look into the room.

Room size, beds comfortable and neat, netflix available. Overall good, we celebrated my 9yr olds birthday and she enjoyed the stay and room.

Beautiful hotel, clean and location is perfect! Staff were very accommodating and very friendly. Would definitely recommend and will be using this hotel again, I travel frequently to Southend, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. 10/10.

Lack of breakfast included. Not a problem as this is stated but it is a bit expensive for a room only. Possibly some local details of area and places to visit could be available. Definitely some local taxi numbers would be an advantage.

Our sea view and balcony were amazing. There's a fridge in every room which isn't mentioned on the website. Such a bonus and should be advertised! Also tea/coffee/milk supplied. And they have WiFi which again they don't advertise. Spotlessly clean room. Bags were brought up for us.

A very minor complaint...but some wall hooks needed for bathroom and back of room door. Also a hand towel for bathroom should be provided.

Clean and comfortable. Excellent situation and good sea view from the window. Great one night stayover to escape from heat of London. The receptionist was very helpful in finding a place to store our bikes and carrying my bag upstairs.

The only thing I would mark this room down on was that the mattress was extremely firm but that's only down to personal preference.

Room was very clean, sea view was amazing, loved the balcony which had room for us to sit out on, very good shower which even had its own sea view. Was very hot weather when we stayed but room had a fan provided so stayed nice and cool. Large tv, host was very friendlyl when we arrived and saw us up to our room. Even though location is directly on the seafront we did not hear the traffic once balcony doors were closed which was good and for those interested in parking, it's street parking out the front which is free of charge. The presentation said private entrance and garden view. The garden view was the backdoor of other residents so, we could not open the window or even the curtains. No hairdryer. The towel handle was broken. The money we paid for just one night was not justified with just 2 double beds. We paid for the view and private entrance which we did not have.

The room was big. 2 big double beds. Water and tea on the house. The kettle working fine as well as the fridge. Attraction nearby. Sea on the other side of the road.
