The only thing I didn't like was the Internet. Coz I needed to do some work on my laptop which didn't happen because of very poor Internet connection. If I won't stay again in this hotel the Internet probably the main reason would be. Secondly the taps are not the modern ones and not mixed cold and hot water together. So that's another downside. Lighting in the bedroom wasn't adequate. Toilet floor had some stains.

I liked the Scenery, the view from window. Heating, shower was good, bed was comfortable. Room itself was nice and comfy, nice sitting area and complimentary biscuits were really good.

We were staying as the next morning we were going on an organised bike ride and we and 2 other guests were informed breakfast would be available from 7.30. It was probably just a tiny lapse in memory that the next day was a Sunday but at 7.45 there was still no sign of anyone in the building to serve breakfast, so we all left without any as our event started at 8am. Also the double beds were a bit small for 2 people. The room we stayed in had 2 small double beds. The whole experience would have been much more luxurious if it had been 1 big bed. The room was big enough to have had a bed settee if it needed to be doubled up.

The greeting was amazing. Will was so kind, and although we arrived at 8.10 just after the kitchen had closed Will and the chief went out of their way to make sure we were fed. The entertainment was a surprise but great fun. I would have preferred it to have started and ended a little earlier as we had an early start the next day.

The communication before we stayed at the property was 0 I emailed and called ahead of our stay several time to make sure we could book a meal etc as it was a present for my partner and I wanted it to be perfect. So disappointed not to have any reply from anyone. There was lots of dirt and dead flies in the light fittings, there was no hairdryer and no coat hangers in there wardrobe all of which should have been in the room according to the description of the room. The last disappointment was the breakfast we were expecting a cooked option and we only had continental with the option to cook toast and crumpets. We had a meal in the restaurant and had to wait a while but we were explained that there was only one person in the kitchen, which we did not mind. The bar ran out of some of the drinks we ordered due to not being allowed to order as it was the end of the season but again it was explained to us. The place was lovely a few disappointments but all and all a nice place to stay.

The location was great for the walk we were doing. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was a bath and a shower which was a surprise as we were told we were not having one.

Hotel was lovely but there were issues with booking.com as we booked the tower room for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary and when we arrived it had been allocated to someone else. Food was lovely.

When you're staying over, the rooms are located above the restaurant/ pub area where a lot of the caravan residents attend They blasted really loud music and didn't consider turning it down until we had to ask unfortunately which seems pretty inconsiderate to people hoping to get away from the city

I liked the location, was nice to get away for the night, friendly staff and the food was ok Decent choice of breakfast which was included

Didn't like the long trek from Llangollen to the hotel. Much further than was indicated by Booking.Com The reception was a small table in a large room that looked more like a storage area. The woman at the desk finished chatting with her friend then rummaged around in a plastic bag before extracting our room key. She then gave us an invoice (I thought we had pre-paid so not happy with that. Turned out we had!) She led us upstairs and spoke to us as if we were either retarded or senile! After opening the room door- with no mention of breakfast or what to do in an emergency - she couldn't wait to leave. Dreadful! Breakfast next morning was appalling! Dirty crockery, curdled milk, anaemic looking bacon and sausages, inedible scrambled egg and hash browns, and no wholemeal bread. No teapots, just a big flask thing of hot water on a table with teabags etc. Didn't have any staff in attendance, so no one to refresh the hot water, or bring in more butter etc. It's such a shame, because the hotel is lovely, but the bad attitude of the reception woman and the awful breakfast is not doing them any favours. I doubt we shall stay here again.

The hotel is a lovely old Victorian style house in a peaceful country setting. Beautiful carved oak fireplaces, staircases and wall friezes. Every room looked clean and well kept (apart from the reception room and the two games rooms upstairs). Our room was spacious with plenty of storage and a lovely big comfy bed. A very nice bathroom, sparkling clean and big fluffy towels. It was quiet, warm and cosy. Perfect for a good night's sleep.

It is not clear where to check in so we hung around a bit and no one was there to help. The walls are not insulated so I was kept awake by the man next door snoring. The breakfast was adequate but no protein and all carbs.

The room was warm and comfortable. It is an old building so the wiring was obvious and a little clunky. The bed was clean and comfortable, the bathroom was good and the view was lovely.

I take all this into account with the price… however my single room was in need of a huge update. The wallpaper was coming off, covered in cobwebs, the bed felt like it was just duvets folded up, there was mould on the walls. We arrived and there was a children’s party being held (not a problem) but there were snakes being passed around. The party was right as you enter the building and my friend has a huge fear of snakes. I get this is not the hotels fault but maybe could have been held away from the main entrance. We couldn’t buy food when we arrived, it’s served later.

The price was cheap and it included breakfast. It was close to the wedding we were attending. There was coffee making facilities in the room. The staff were lovely and accommodating.

No chef on duty in restaurant so had to go in to local town for dinner. Breakfast was acceptable only. I had written to the hotel twice asking for confirmation that a room could be on the ground floor or near a lift for disabled member of group; The hotel did not respond. Upon arrival it was clear that there are no rooms on ground floor and there is no lift in the property. Thankfully the staircase was wide and not steep so we managed.

Quirky individual rooms in a beautiful manor house located within a mobile home site. Staff were understanding and pleasant.

Seemed unprepared. No wi-fi in room despite bedside information telling you to ask for code at reception. TV not functioning (although replaced quickly and helpfully, mould in shower, and very poor cooked breakfast with a long hair in the fried egg and cold on one side black pudding. Disappointing. If the breakfast has been better it would have made my day.

    Lovely setting with spectacular views.
