The location was perfect for us visiting family in the area and for this reason we will probably stay again. However, the room door is fiddly to unlock, noise from the restaurant filters up to the room and the walls are so thin that I could hear a mobile phone continually buzzing in the room next door. The ceiling light fittings need cleaning and the bathroom had fluff on a wall and mould marks on tiles and walls. Very clean, but more detailed cleaning needed. Breakfast items have to be ordered the day before with just basics offered: beans, sausage, bacon, hash brown, eggs, mushrooms. No cereal or juice options as far as I’m aware My poached eggs were undercooked and the mushrooms seemed precooked and heated, bacon hard. Also no option to choose white or brown bread. Very good tea, and again polite and friendly staff. But I really think a little more attention to detail is needed to make the stay excellent. And please don’t ask me to tick off breakfast choices in advance - reminds me of being in hospital! It takes no longer to take my order and cook fresh.

Interesting Inn, much to read on the walls about Gurkha's. Lovely book in bar where you can loose yourself in the beauty of the country 🙂 pictures around the walls are very interesting, the one above the fire place pulls you in, which path shall we take 🏔️. Bedroom has all you require, bed/pillows are comfy.

Very poor WiFi with slow internet. Mobile phone connectivity was pretty sketchy in my room.

The Indian restaurant was good. Nice food and reasonably priced

If the frontage had some indication that I was passing it in the darkness, it would have saved me more than half an hour searching to find it eventually with the help of several people!!!

As the hotel is close to a busy road there is some noise at night-time if you are in a front facing room. Nothing that they can do about this, it is what it is.

Great place for a stop-over. Lovely restaurant and a good breakfast. The rooms are adequate and very good value for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff. A nice bar area and lovely garden space for nicer weather.

Property is situated on a busy main road. Traffic noise disturbed us at times as we had a bedroom at the front.

The location was fine for our needs. The breakfasts were good and included in the price.

Difficult to review as the hotel was almost 24 hours into a power cut after Storm Arwen. The staff were fantastic despite the only heat or light being one log fire.

Breakfast on the weekend was 8-9 am so no opportunity for a lay in unless you skipped Breakfast which we did.

Bed was lovely and comfortable, bathroom was clean, easy to come and go and for us was a great location, close to our family so we could walk to their house. Reasonable price.

The room was tired and could do with a bit of sprucing up and modernising. We would've liked a bigger TV and in a better place. The room was cold and I had to keep my coat on for a while in order to feel warm enough to take it off. Better heating and new lighting.

Super restaurant and staff were accommodating and there was a family feel to it. We liked the traditional furniture in the bedrooms.

My room faced the main road and was a little noisy.

Small hotel run and owned by two families of ex Gurkha's. Very friendly and accommodating. Could not have been made more welcome. I ate in their restaurant. Wonderful food. I could not recommend more highly. I will definitely stay again.

Extremely satisfied with all aspects of my stay.

Friendly approach and attitude displayed from everyone of the staff. Comfy room with all facilities. Excellent cooked breakfast each morning. Plenty of parking space just off the main Chepstow to Gloucester road.

Excellent place. Great little room and very clean. Super Nepalese food in the evening in the restaurant. Friendly staff and a lovely breakfast all freshly made. I'll defo stay again in the future 100% recommend
