Our room in Y Capel had a damp smell, due to a recent leak upstairs, I'm sure this will be soon resolved.

Great central location and well appointed rooms. Staff excellent and very helpful. Food good and in particular excellent breakfast. Breakfast staff very attentive, thank you. We have stayed before and was not disappointed.

Two small things: the windows couldn't get open. Hardly no place to put your toiletries in the bathroom.

Almost everything was perfect, the room, the bathroom, also the breakfast. It feels like home.

Wonderful accommodation only let down by an average breakfast

The only disappointment was the standard of breakfast. There was a very meagre buffet selection with only some fresh fruit, cereal and yoghurt. No granola, berries or compote and no bread or croissants. My scrambled egg with salmon was good but my wife's kipper was overcooked and was served on it's own with toast. We were not offered any extra toast and the coffee was only passable. The accommodation itself however made up for the breakfast.

The room was excellent - spacious, spotless and very comfortable with good tea and coffee options and good quality bathroom items. Parking was free and easy to access and the location could not have been more convenient. We had no issues at all.

One of the members of staff in the Erskine could do with a refresher course on customer service. The clock bells prevented the pair of us from sleeping a wink on the first night, but thankfully we discovered the ear plugs for the second night.

Stunning property and fantastic location right in the centre of Conwy, only 2 mins from the castle, town walls and the train station. Balcony was a lovely addition to our room, just a shame the wet Welsh weather prevented us from using it. Breakfast across the road in the Erskine was great, set us up for a day of exploring!

I would’ve liked a little more for breakfast. I had salmon and scrambled egg on muffin which was great but would’ve liked just a bit more fruit or bread/pastry option to pick at. That would’ve made it perfect for me. Even if just a slice of toast with butter and jam.

Beautiful, clean, tasteful, very conveniently located, spacious, free car park

Car park was a bit tight, but we all fitted in !!!

Excellent location In the centre of town, near to bus stops and the station. We took the car to get around but did not need to use it Went to Llandudno on the bus. Y Capel is fabulous. Rooms spotless and beautifully furnished. Staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble. Special thanks to Carlton who went above and beyond. Food at the Erskine arms was gorgeous, especially the breakfasts, best poached eggs ever, perfectly cooked, no snotty whites !! Highly recommended We will return.

There was nothing we didn't like we had a great stay.

Great stay in a beautiful converted chapel in Conwy. Easy check in. A bonus of a small car park next to the chapel which we were able to use before our check in time as we arrived a little early. Room was very clean and comfortable, Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and staff were all very friendly. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, we would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

A lovely hotel, well furnished and staffed to a high standard

There is nothing the hotel could do about it, but the constant chiming of the church clock very near to the property went on all night. Otherwise, the advertised parking was a bit baffling and I never did find a barrier! The breakfast was all OK apart from the very strange, very sweet, homemade black pudding which to my palate was inedible. A little more choice of fruit compote etc would be an advantage.

Y Capel is a very high standard hotel with sizeable rooms at a very good rate. The finish of decoration and quality of furniture and fitting was very good indeed. The staff in the nearby Erskine Arms hotel, that this is an offshoot of, were very friendly, efficient and helpful. Location could not be much better right in the heart of town but also in a quiet(ish) side street.
