Odd smell, particularly in the stairway and landing area, possibly from cigarettes. Used towels had been left on the floor in my room. The ceiling light in the bedroom didn't work. Duvet was very thin.

Large bathroom with a decent shower. Bed was fairly comfortable and bedding was fresh and clean. I didn't use the kitchen but it looked well equipped and clean.

The property description here on booking.com says a lot of things that aren’t true or at best are misleading. “each room comes with a fully equipped kitchen” - one kitchen for all to use. “coffee machine” - kettle with instant coffee is what you actually get. “Flat-screen tv with satellite channels” - downstairs tv no channels working, tv in room only had bbc 1 and bbc 2. “private bathroom with shower” - there is no privacy when it comes to bathroom as there is no door (or a wall really) between the bedroom and bathroom. “and a hairdryer” - not available, and no towels either.

Was convenient to have the shared kitchen with a fridge and microwave.

Open plan bedroom and bathroom!! My sister could sit on her bed and see me going to the toilet. I could sit on her bed and watch her shower!! No door for privacy or to keep ablution smells out. Disgusting!

Good communication on how to get into the property with the key safe. Shame the restaurant is no longer there.

We didn’t have front door keys only bedroom keys so was unable to lock main door. Due to incorrect info on property surroundings there is NO pub 200yrds away. So as there was nowhere to eat/drink 3 of the guest decided not to stay here. Hi please see property surrounds where it states there is a pub 200yrds away.

The guest house was perfect clean etc and fresh looking. No complaints there.

Expected our own apartment and kitchen. Got own bedroom with shared common/room kitchen. Fine for a walking holiday but not as advertised. Staff allegedly next door but never saw them, key code checkin. All a bit spartan for £110 price.

    Great location on Glyndwyr Way.

Please provide hangers/rack/clothes-horse to dry wet boots & clothes Also a dustpan and brush - there was nowhere to take off muddy boots & we felt bad about leaving mud on the floor.

Welcome milk (tho tea bags had run out). Great location - essential for walking the Cambrian Way. Very luxurious bedroom (tho odd not to separate toilet & bedroom, esp as it was a twin room). Wood burning stove.

It is advertised as a B&B but is more of a high quality hostel with private ensuite rooms but then a shared kitchen living room. I would stay there again but think that it was quite expensive for what you get. It had previously been a pub and B&B and now there is no pub in the local area so it is a shame that it is no longer a pub.

Location was great, just off the Glyndwr's way in a remote little hamlet with stunning views. Rooms were comfortable and clean with a big shared living space.

For the number of rooms, I was disappointed in the size of the fridge. Especially given three rooms had to share just the one fridge. It would be very difficult had we all been strangers in the 3 rooms. One small fridge per room would be the ideal. Especially if 3 different families where there. Lack of sufficient pillows on the bed. Wasn't really shown into the property by the hosts. Didn't know which room was allocated to which person. It would have been nice to have been greeted properly. Variation in room prices needs to be looked at. One person paid £98 for one room where as two people sharing paid £325. And had a smaller room. Hosts never came to see if everything was okay. And see if we needed anything. Large shower was very slippy when using soap. Needs a anti slip mat placing inside to reduce accidents, Rooms didn't match with the booking listing information. Couldn't dry the towels as no heated towel rail. Tried to see how it could be turned on but couldn't find any where so towels were left damp and no where to hang outside. A signing in book would have been nice where comments could be made. No refuse bin outside. Very small bin under the cupboard but not really adequate.

The property was very clean and tidy. Great location. WIFI was good for those that used it. Bed was comfortable but needed more than One pillow each. Quiet location Great choice on the TV. Communal space was very clean and well kept. It was great to be able to bring the dog with us. Lovely property.

An invite to purchase groceries, on our behalf, was nice, BUT came just 3 days prior to arrival at property and 1 day prior to our trip departure. So much too late, despite making the booking 6 months inadvance. Despite arriving in our expected time window, we arrived on a very wet afternoon having cycled 40 miles to find towels for the showers were not ready. Curtains on the one side of the building did not cut out the extremely strong sunrise (4:30am).

Nice rooms, easy access, great wood burner on a cold & wet afternoon. The host offered to do some washing for us in acknowledgment for the fact that there were no towels ready for our arrival. Radiators worked & were appreciated on a surprisingly wet & cold afternoon.

The other couple staying there and I were both cooking at the same time. Got a little cramped, but we worked it out. Soundproofing to adjoining room not great.

Spacious kitchen/dining area with huge table. Amazing-looking bath, which I didn't use - quicker to take a shower. Plenty of parking/unloading space.

Very minimal facilities, lack of standard information one would hope for in a holiday home stay. In the room there were no bedside lamps and the main ceiling lamp had no shade, which meant when the light was on it was extremely bright. I would much prefer the soft light one gets from a bedside lamp, also it meant having to get out of bed to turn the light off to go to sleep, so not the most relaxing of experiences. As we were in the summer months, a black out blind would make a big difference, as soon as it got light around 4:30am I found myself awake. There was no hand soap or hand wash in the bathroom, so had to use the shower gel provided, not a biggy for me, but feel really a room that you are staying should really supply hand wash or soap. Only had 1 toilet roll for the entire 3 nights and 4 days we were there, so ended up having to take the ones from the downstairs toilets. Yes, we could’ve have contacted Nadine through the Booking.com app but my partner felt a little embarrassed about asking for extra toilet roll, but supplying one roll for 2 people staying for 3 nights isn’t really great. When we first got there, it would’ve helped if the doors where marked as to were they led, we had to try several doors before we found the ones to the bedrooms, again not a biggy, but may be useful to do in the future. Also, one last thing, when we first got there, we bumped into Nadine upstairs, she was very pleasant and said if we needed anything to just ask, the only problem was about 15 mins later we went to go and try and find the waterfall that is nearby and thought we’d ask her how best to get there, but just could not find her even when knocking on the front door. So even so she said just ask if we needed anything, there was no way we could ask as we had no way of finding her.

Lovely quiet location (apart from sheep lol) Large communal kitchen, dining and lounge area, great to meet fellow travellers. A good base for local hiking Lovely big bathroom
