    Nothing not to like!

The staff and location are excellent, friendly greeting, and perfectly placed for the Castle, Town and beach. Very dog friendly!! Off road free parking, not rushed to move our car after checking out was very helpful. Would recommend and definitely will stay again.

Shower are nice but the water was scalding hot. I did mention this to the host who said have to press and turn the tap which obviously I had done but it would not cool down so could not stand under it.

Breakfast was very good but only choice of cooked breakfast or continental. Host was friendly but stickler for times. Bar closed at 9pm on Saturday night and moved to a very small ‘lounge’ area which was essentially the reception area.

The bedrooms has new bedding and pillows and very comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and modern. the decor could just do with a revamp in the bedrooms as it just let it down ever so slightly

Location was perfect as described just across fro the sand dunes and a long 5km beach to walk the dog. The hotel is not only dog friendly they actually like dogs and our dog was able to come to the bar with us and join us for dinner. The food was excellent we both had the welsh fillet. As stated there is an extensive list of Gins to choose from and Rum and Whiskey........... We really enjoyed our stay

No train service due to work on Barmouth Bridge.

The food was very good both at breakfast and dinner. Our room was clean and functional. The host dogs were wonderful as was the team ! It was out of season so the bar is not available all evening but it was not an issue for us. we enjoyed our stay.

Steep stairs for an older person with an elderly , arthritic dog. Restricted mealtimes, making it hard to linger. Expensive.

Welcoming both to humans and dogs. Good food. Good location.

There was nothing we didn't like but if I had to pick one thing it would be that the hotel doesn't opened until 5pm. However we were fortunate that we were able to check in early as room was ready.

Stayed for 1 night over the bank holiday weekend. Lovely friendly hotel. Room was excellent with really comfy kingsize bed. Plenty of room for my 2 furbabies!! Great little village with some spectacular views. Parking available. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. Shirley was lovely being Jack of all trades. Franco cooked excellent meals, our breakfast was so tasty! The vine tomatoes were so sweet! Best iv ever tasted. David was front of house. Great little team!

Although a check in time was started, on arrival the property was locked and in parts looked shut down. We ended up having to call in order to gain access.

I would like the towel rail in the bathroom to be heated to enable me to have a dry towel in between my showers.

Good breakfast, pleasant staff. We didn’t have dinner. Comfortable room. We would recommend it as a place to stay with a dog.

The guest house is very focused on dogs, owners have 2 very large dogs, friendly but some visiting dogs uneasy. Our room was OK,huge bed bit too large for the room also only windows above the kitchen fan so cooking smells.

Very convenient location about 15 mins across sand dunes to lovely beach, property on fairly quiet main road, steep walk to town back rooms no view, back onto cliff face.

Some minor maintenance issues but nothing worth mentioning. It's not 5* perfect but it's a nice place with character. Some road noise but silent at night so not a problem. Train tracks not the best view but tis what it is, there's a beach and the sea beyond and a beautiful castle behind. Stlll recommend it

The owner was good company, friendly, interesting to talk to and had a great selection of rare drinks to offer. Nice chap, comfortable bed, decor wasn't the normal boring standard fare but had some thought behind it and character. The food was delicious, we're picky wotsits and spent the next night in a different hotel, spending three times as much on a meal which had bits (rather than 7 courses) Recommend
