The cottage is surrounded by a calm atmosphere. The garden and rooms including its living room are all well maintained and very clean. The living room is an English traditional style cosy room with a fireplace. A hot and delicious breakfast is served every morning in the dining room. Bathroom is also very clean with plenty of towels and amenities. The bedroom is good size and we could see a wonderful view, the farm, the trees in the garden, the birds and the squirrels from the window, and twinkled stars in the sky at night. Best of all are the hosts. They are so kind, friendly and lovely women. We’ve got along with soon. I had a relaxing and comfortable time. Thanks to them, we had a wonderful holiday. We will surely visit here again.

From the first moment we walked through the door, we felt welcomed and relaxed. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that we only had two days here.

We loved this place, area and hosts so much that we will be back. A secret paradise found. This area is special, and if you're after a peaceful retreat to a beautiful part of the world with wonderful hosts, this is the place for you.

    Nothing.

Anna was so kind all the way through. Had so much to share about the area. Walks, Her knowledge of the area from a whole wealth of experience was inspiring to listen to. Her travel stories really moved us - everyone in the family especially my mum, (if you wanted to hear them and she has capacity - of course she doesn't impose and gives you the space to do your own thing). The garden was beautiful, the cottage had a very homely feel and she even made some really insightful book recommendations when I asked her. It was a great location to go for a quiet wander and close enough to places to visit. We were there for a wedding mainly but made a proper holiday out of it!

I could not fault the place or people!

Yew Tree cottage is an idyllic property set in a beautiful location. I could not of asked for more hospitable hosts. The property is spotless and tastefully decorated. The property boasts excellent Wi-Fi and all the creature comforts of home. The local area has a restaurant within walking distance ( The cider barn - Dunkertons ) which serves the most delicious food and locally produced Herefordshire cider. I strongly recommend a pint of Dunkertons Black Fox organic cider.

Peace, quiet, cleanliness, comfort and great breakfasts - Anna and Karen were the perfect hosts. While the property is in the remote Herefordshire countryside, there are several excellent pubs and restaurants located within a 15-minute drive.

We can’t think of anything we didn’t like about Yew Tree Cottage.

The location was excellent as we wanted a quiet, relaxing break. There was a good choice for breakfast and a very relaxed atmosphere. We stayed at a friends house for supper and arrived back variably late, which was not a problem., The surrounding countryside and views were lovely and watching birds have breakfast was delightful.

Anna and Karen were so welcoming. A particular point was how they provided a small meal for us back from the pub on Sunday evening as we weren't able to get any food from any of the Pembridge hostelries. They so lovely with our rescue dog called Ace too. Thank you both. We had a great stay! 🤩🦋

There was absolutely nothing about the place we disliked. It was comfortable, clean, cosy, attractive, pleasant (especially the gardens) the list goes on and on...10 out of 10!

Everything about our experience at YTC was EXCEPTIONAL...Anna & Karen couldn't have been more caring and obliging...they went out their way to make our stay enjoyable, content and memorable. You could not meet two warmer and more polite human beings, whom my partner and I now consider life friends. In fact, we look forward to the return! Anna is like a sunflower..radiant & delightful and Karen is like a breath of fresh air and never without a smile on her face! The bed we slept in was extremely comfy and we slept right through due to the peace&quiet of the surroundings. Access to the property was easy enough. We didn't struggle to find it from Pembridge village due to the fact Anna's directions were spot on! The house has that mixture of "oldy-worldy" and modern. It has that real "country" feel about it, and if you glance out the window for just a second you will see amazing wildlife and stunning garden views. PS both ladies make a very YUMMY scrambled egg on toast! :p
