the room was amazing - a double in the attic with a balcony (didn't climb out!), a cast iron fireplace (didn't use!) and not only a bathroom, but a BATH!! excellent. Room was a bit cold but there was a partially effective heater

Bed was not the comfiest, but for the price that’s what you get.

Great location - close to the pier and to the lanes. Staff were lovely and room was spacious and cleaner than expected, especially bathroom! Shower was spotless!

I was very satisfied with my overall experience. From many hostels I've stayed in, YHA Brighton is definitely top tier for me. With travelling alone I felt safe comfortable and really enjoyed my time I didn't feel awkward asking for anything as the vibes were just positive friendly and chilled. All staff were friendly and smiley and so helpful. Everything was so clean!!! Would definitely recommend! 😊

I understand they have their own breakfasts, and some appliances are restricted to the kitchen, which meant that there was no common microwave to use.

The staff was super kind and helpful, from the check-in to the general stay (they even helped me get a bowl and warm water for my food). The common facilities served as an open workspace where I had meetings (good and free wifi) without much noise and just overall comfy spaces. The shared bathroom (shared only with the people in your room) was clean, and the hot water worked beautifully.

The bathroom fan had so much dust in it, it didn’t actually do anything, the hairdryer also have so much dust in them they would overheat, there wasn’t enough hangers in the room for four people, there were stains on the floor and the water pressure in the shower was bad

There were no towels or toiletries, and while it wasn't a big issue, it should have been more visible when booking.

Am not sure if you can do anything about this i.e. snoring! Once the night gets deeper the snoring (of some people) gets louder. Probably you can consider distributing ear plugs while checking in :) Also, since your property is at a key location there is lot of noise from the weekend revellers especially if it is a Friday or Saturday night. Again, I guess there is not much you can do.

All the people in the room minded their own business which resulted in a very quite room despite being full :) They all respected each others privacy. Since I got up early I was able to use the facilities in the room without any waiting time.

The walls were so thin, that even if we spoke softly, they had an issue and would get complains.

The bunk beds, were very low. So the person sleeping at the bottom kept hiding his head.

Few issues. With bathroom but not a massive issue.

We had to stay at this hotel, because Brunswick hotel and spa had completely let us down. We were in a bit of a tight spot with our three young children and had to find somewhere at the last minute. Receptionists and managers were lovely and really looked after us. Facilities downstairs are excellent great bar area and foose ball table for kids. Rooms are basic but linen is very clean, bathroom could do with a bit of updating/ service. But for the money I was very happy. Thank you to the staff

The pillows were a little bit rough (hard and thin). The breakfast finishes very early at 9am. If you are driving into Brighton, they don't really have a spot to park your car, but that's more of a reflection on driving in Brighton. Just something to note.

Great spot in Brighton, really good for someone passing through the area. The bathroom was modern and clean.

I don't like the no alcohol rule. I've already paid for my stay, I should be allowed to do whatever I want in that room.

It was very clean, the room was spacious, the bathroom was better than in some hotels I've stayed. The staff were polite. The facilities were great too, tv in the room, coffee available downstairs etc. Location is central and we had an amazing view of Brighton pier.
