Facilities and services are good, in terms of accessibility (kitchen) and late check-in time. Not quite friendly for me.

The check-in time at 5pm, is rather late, I need to roam around town with my baggage. Kitchen utensils well equipped, unfortunately isn’t any tea bag or coffee provided for a drink. The kitchen is locked as soon as the staff left around 10pm, and I can’t access to take my milk and coffee which I left in the fridge….. there were cleaning work started around 5am…. If I am not mistaken …. I was woken by the noise.

Quite comfortable in every corner, clean.

Canned rock/pop music in the communal areas. Even at 6.30am! Parking a bit limited.

Spotlessly clean. Very reasonably priced. Kitchen well-equipped.

This place is almost at a 30-mins walk from the Canterbury station, and if one wants to reach by bus, they need to avail 2 buses. Town centre is not too far away though. The reception remains closed from 10:00 to 16:00, makes it difficult if one wants to leave their luggage and roam around the place, they can't get the luggage back during that time.

We booked a room with 4 beds, got upgraded to a 6-bed one. Neat & clean, same as other YHAs I have visited. It's calm too, no noise from other occupants. Breakfast was good. Plenty of shared washrooms, other than the one in our room, makes it easy to get ready while starting early.

The bed frame squeeked when I moved, and the duvet was too warm.

Very well equipped self-catering kitchen where we could make breakfast. Quiet room and the curtains blocked the light effectively. We were able to park in a street nearby.

A necessary Suggestion not complaint. Top room. Number 15. Steps up to the room. In middle of night these steps would be dangerous. Please Take Note A Health Risk & Safety Issue. If room occupiers are drunk or not awake properly in middle of night to go to shared toilet they could fall down the steps. Needs a Ramp. Bedroom Door opens right onto the steps.

This is a necessary suggestion not a complaint. I was in the very top room in the house. Number 15. I never asked if there was a lift but if there was not a lift these stairs were long and deep stairs to walk up especially when pulling/carrying suitcases/other big bags. The occupier of top room should be told re stairs and steps up to bedroom & provided with the option before being given keys to the bedroom.

We need to climb the stair to bring the luggage up. Not enough parking space, so once parked, can not go out. The toilet a bit small for adult.

Very unique and clean place to stay, the room is clean and double decker to share with family. The kitchen is big and easily cooked our meals

Wifi wasn't very good outside the cabin. Toiletries are not provided, they sell it at £5 per pouch, so make sure you bring yours if you dont want to spend extra

Very good value for the price! We stayed at the outdoor cabin and it exceeded expectations. Place was clean and has everything you need for a short, simple stay. We arrived 4 hours early from check-in and asked if we can leave our luggage, the reception was very kind to accommodate us and checked us in :). There are also board games you can borrow should you want to play with friends. Place is a 10-15min walk from city centre, but there is a bus stop in front of the hostel which is very convenient. Definitely recommend this place budget, short stays and weekend breaks!

Doors near room 6 are a bit noisy, felt like someone knocking the fire door from outside, whenever someone opened the inner door.

I found the room a bit chilly, and most of the power points were not functioning.

It's a lovely old Victorian house (a former school, I was told) within walking distance of central Canterbury, Canterbury East railway station and the Cathedral. They provide breakfast - hot or cold - for a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
