Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United StatesMarian and Leo are great hosts. Marian is very sweet and helpful in every way. Leo makes a terrific breakfast each morning from the locally sourced fruits and vegetables. The only downside is that the road to the BnB is so steep that it is not possible to walk it each day, however Leo will provide a ride down to the beach or the local bus stop on the main road into town,

GermanyThe way down to the beach was very hilly - sometimes very hard underneath the tropical temepratures, but on the other hand I also had my daily sports then.
The view was amazing and the breakfast was always made fresh. Lots of local stuff and e.g. self made juice. Both were alaways very friendly and kind. The only "problem" was my big suitcase in the little room, that was a little adventure to store it, but apart from that - everything was absolutely fine and perfect!

I love the staff of little Palace, Marian and Leo are excellent host, airport pick up was well arranged by Marian making my arrival and settling in smooth and stress free, excellent Internet service, lovely balcony with a perfect view of the beach and cityscape. I will definitely visit Little palace in future.

United KingdomThe location was not where it was on the Booking.com map and although the owner has reported this several times Booking.com haven't changed it.
The breakfast was one of the best parts - as each day there was a different selection of local produce and all well cooked. There was coffee and tea available as well as toast and marmalade and the local delicacies which were excellent. Very friendly and helpful owners.

United KingdomNice and clean. Great view from balcony. Good furnishing. No breakfast was given to me as stated in my holiday entitlement except for one morning Marian gave me breakfast. She said booking. com made a mistake in my cost for 12 nights so I can't have breakfast. The hills to little Palace was too much for me to climb at my age which was very disappointing.
