Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

GermanyOne of the worst hotels I`ve ever stayed at, even for the Georgian standarts. Uncomfortable beds, saggy mattresses, the smell of cigarettes in the room and bathroom, towels were stinky and dirty, as if they were drying in an ash tray. The sink`s size doesn`t fit the bathroom and is assembled too close to the shower, so as is it not comfortable to wash hands (see the photos). Very poor, uneatable breakfast. It is served between 9 and 11 am. I came at 9:30 am and everything was already cold. The hotel does not have a terminal and take only cash (the nearest ATM is 10 min walk). I don`t get how it has received such a high rating on Booking.com.
The two good things about this hotel is the friendly staff and good location, but these don`t safe the whole situation.

United StatesThe shower has plenty of hot water but the water pressure comes and goes. Also the shower head in the bathroom points to the side (though there is a curtain).
An exceptional value for a hotel located pretty much in the centre of Old Borjomi and just a few minutes walk away from the the mineral water park. Also, the hotel is very close to the non- tourist centre of Borjomi where the larger grocery stores and bus station are located...The view out the window is to the river and that is what you hear when the window is open - and, yes, the windows have screens to keep the bugs out... Very pleasant reception staff and the check-in was easy... I noticed the Wi-Fi rating on this site was low but that was *not* my experience. Even though the router on the third floor was located as far away from me as possible, the Wi-Fi was fast and never cut out... My room was well insulated from noise and the bed was very comfortable... The fridge in my room was very welcome as well as the (small) desk. I will definitely stay here again.
