Staying at the Alone Cottage in Kazbegi was a wonderful experience that can only be defined as a warm and welcoming home in the mountains you didn’t think you had. Giorgi, along with his wife, are fantastic hosts that helped us with anything we needed. Always responsive via whatsapp, and always ready to enrich your experience. The last night me and my partner spent there, Giorgi even helped us setting up a bbq! The location is equally suggestive, 5 minutes by car and 10 minute walk from the center of stepatsminda is unparalleled in the area. The sounds of the river just nearby is extremely soothing, and the sight on Mt. Kazbek is very evocative. Alone cottage offers both a very needed queit solitude, as well as being close to facilities and the comforts of civilization.

House is a little further from Kazbegi center, but still walkable distance, so you can take a walk down to the town and back up. It’s worth every drop of sweat to sit on the terrace and be able to enjoy this view. Right next to you cows enjoying themselves, horses running freely. Absolutely fantastic experience. Inside it’s also very nice, the view from the bedroom unique. You can wake up, just lay and watch. Bedsheet is very comfortable and warm, so u won’t get cold at night. Very nice living room, well equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. 10/10

Absolutely amazing location which I can recommend to everyone. Great view on the mountains, location distant from any other houses. Great place to walk also behind the cottage with another amazing view. Near to the river, quiet and very nice. Also inside of the house you can find all what is required for a short stay. Stay was great!

Bathroom shower head does not give comfortable stream of water

Location is simply stunning, you are high up the mountain overlooking Mt. Kazbeg. Nice balcony with comfortable chairs. Bed upstairs is firm and comfortable. Heater is available for colder days and nights. Despite booking very last minute the cottage was made ready in one hour. 4WD is necessary for access on steep dirt roads.

We are glad to have found "Alone."A dream come true stay with an amazing view of the snow capped Caucasus mountains, beauty at its peak at sunset and sunrise.Never to miss gazing the starry night. Getting to the property might be a little difficult without a 4×4.We did have one, so it was fine.

we love our stay! we had a really good time away escape from the city, the cottage has everything we need. The location is perfect, nobody is around and view is amazing. Our host is super friendly and helpful! Would definitely come back!

Everything. It's the perfect place to disconnect and reconnect with nature. The view was spectacular and the cottage felt homey. The host was really helpful and responsive. We had some dirty clothes that needed to be washed and the host was kind enough to wash them for us for free. It takes about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the town and 20 to 25 minutes to walk back up to the cottage. You can also use the Bolt app to book a taxi, which will cost 22 gel, probably because it is uphill. Although you will find a lot of drivers offering a ride, they probably cost more. We had to take a ride back to the cottage because we bought everything we needed during our whole stay, and we couldn't walk back to the cottage with groceries. It was an amazing stay and we will surely come back!

It would have been nice if they would have come to clean the room at least once during our 3 night stay. Also we would have appreciated a little notice before they came by to advise us of little things. We were looking for total privacy.

Perfect spot for a romantic getaway! Can't beat the views, cozy cabin all to yourself. Breakfast was great, rooms were comfortable, nice little kitchen, the host will take you to town for a reasonable fee, everything was lovely!

Everything! The fact that I extended my stay from one day to 12 days says it all! I was the very first guest in this lovely family owned cottage with the best location in Kazbegi with uninterrupted views of mont kazbek and trinity church. It is located away from any other cottage and was exactly what I was looking for to relax and unwind and still it is a walking distance from the town center. But what made this stay very special is the owner George and his lovely family. He was absolutely amazing and attentive to every need, he drove me to and from the town for groceries, arranged for trips to Trinity church, Gveleti waterfalls, Gaduri ski line cabins, and many other monasteries showing me all the places known to locals that tourists might not see. The cottage has all the amenities that I needed including a kitchenette with all the necessary cooking tools, electric cooking stove, and a fridge. My favorite place is the balcony overlooking the mountain and the nearby forest. In my last night the family had a little gathering with lights, fireworks and many laughs, it was the best night. I absolutely recommend this place and it was the best that I stayed in Kazbegi. I will definitely come back for another stay.
