Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceConditions in the building were a bit basic and the room was not very clean, the bathroom certainly needed a better clean. The hotel also has a bar so it was a bit noisy.Generally, this hotel seemed a bit depressing.
The location was convenient for the airport as it took only 10 minutes and the owner brought me to the airport on time as agreed.

The host who met us was great. The owner was helpful and accommodating. The hotel is old but the room has been renovated. Very close to the airport.

United KingdomCould have been better : The room had kept the smell of smoke from a previous occupant . Coffee sachets would have been welcome . I could have asked and feel this would have been provided but i wasn't really worried .
Friendly welcome and given a coffee and cherries as I waited for room. Appartment was delightful and sunny and perfect for my last night. And taken to airport at 2.30 am without any uncertainty which was SO good . Felt looked after:) WiFi reliable . Fridge good and cold . Very local supermarkets and bakeries . Alone and felt safe

MozambiqueI have a dust allergy and the room was stuffy. I think even someone without a dust allergy would notice. I mean that’s the issue of stacking up the room with so many things: some things will be missed and you won’t clean them. But the room had a general dirtiness (ie cups unwashed properly, I had to buy a new sponge and dishwashing liquid). As feedback, I would be happy if it were minimalistic but very tidy and not stuffy of dusty.
It had a fully equipped kitchen and had all the utensils.

LatviaShower had someone's shower gel and shampoo or maybe it was left there on purpose. Design is not for everyone for sure. I mean, it doesn't bother if you need to stay for 1 night, but lots of pink.
Good stay just besides the airport. Saves you a lot of time if you need to fly next day.

Hello. I would like to express my opinion this place is not meant to sleep. The place looks like a warehouse. I was there on 5/16 at a little before 5:00 PM. No one was there. We called. No one answered the phone. I would give a score from 1 to 10. A score of 0 please do not send tourists there. Download them at all.

ItalyIt is really a worst thing ask immediately for money, before to take luggage into the room. Normal is: ask and take passport (if you are afraid that I will go away without pay), not ask for money when I arrive (i had a booking reservation).

Germany- Extremely dirty (not sure if it was cleaned at all) - Something was very wrong with the water pressure. The tap and the shower went from normal pressure to sudden loud explosions - Noisy street - The lady "receptionist" was friendly, but unfortunately her English and also her knowledge of the place was very limited. - I had to pay cash although it says on booking.com that CC is accepted. So I had to take a taxi(!) to the next ATM, get cash once again on my last day in Georgia - The receptionist did not have a working phone, so she had to use mine to ask her boss for the WiFi code (that call cost me 4 €).. - I asked to get a taxi organised for my flight back. The receptionist agreed, then I asked, when she will call the taxi, she said something like "I will let you know". Later, I came back to ask again and she sat there on her bed (the reception is actually a small, filthy bedroom) in her own cigarette smoke (mmmh, nice welcome..). I asked her about the taxi and she said, she had no money on the phone to call it...?! - I had to ask another guest for the WiFi code. The receptionist gave me a wrong one - This is not a hotel or apartment as anyone would expect it. Only book it if you really need to be close to the airport and want to save some money. But be aware, this is an ugly industrial area.
- Proximity to airport (10 min drive) - Free airport transfer - however, if I had not told the "receptionist" that it's free, I would have had to pay and organise it myself

United KingdomAfter a day of exploring the magnificent Kakheti region, my partner and I were looking forward to retiring to the promise of the Pink Apartment before catching our early flight the following morning, though were met with a sense of foreboding on turning into the dimly lit industrial street that the Hotel 'Lilo' is situated on. On entering the building, covered in ivy and haphazardly strewn LED lighting, we were greeted by the delightful small woman in charge, who shrieked "Pink Apartment, Pink Apartment!", much to the dismay of the stray dog sleeping on the torn sofa in the landing. The Pink Apartment is evidently the jewel of the Hotel Lilo complex, if pictures of the other rooms is anything to go by. Her enthusiasm couldn't quite make up for the grim surroundings, where walls covered in marble-effect stickers did little to mask the overall decaying environment. We were led upstairs to our apartment, at the end of the green corridor covered in dubious structural cracks. On handing over our cash payment to waiting hands, the lady left us to explore our fuchsia surrounding. The Pink Apartment was as described, if not slightly oversold, given the very blue bathroom. Whilst not the height of comfort, it served its purpose well enough, save for the lack of sound insulation that allowed the dogs barking to perforate into the studio apartment. The kitchen, while equipped, did have a very poor bottle opener that almost ruined our final bottle of wine, which incidentally cost more than the stay in the apartment. We availed of the provided airport transport the following morning, and the charming little lady running the show (who seemingly doesn't sleep but had every bit as much energy as the evening before) provided a driver with a key for the designated car. After an adequate ride to the departure lounge, our Pink Apartment experience drew to a close. It was interesting and insightful, but ultimately not representative of value for money.
Very little, if any. The location was indeed near the airport however that isn't necessarily a good thing. You'd be better off booking a decent hotel in Tbilisi city centre, probably for half the price, and spending some of the money you saved on a very affordable taxi to the airport at the time of your choosing. Top tip: despite the promising sign on the facade, do not rely on the Bar being open, or indeed, even existing. Cater accordingly.

SwitzerlandThe room was noisy because there were people, probably the owners, being very loud in the lobby until maybe 0:30 or 1am. We also heard what sounded like rat noises in the walls which was kind of scary. The biggest turnoff was that we needed to pay in CASH, which we weren't aware of, as we got no notifications telling us that cards were not accepted. So we ended up on our last day in Georgia with no cash (because we didn't want to bring any back home and we knew that we could pay everything by card at the airport) and we arrived at the hotel around 11pm. The owner forced us to go to a an ATM by a grocery store (which was a car ride away) to get some cash to pay for the night. We were exhausted from the day and asked if we could get cash the next morning at the airport, but this was not an option.
The location is very close to the airport and the owner kindly proposes a service to drive you there or pick you up from the airport (which we greatly appreciated). Also the communication with the owner was easy and the location was easy to find.

KazakhstanWe were having flight connection for 23 hours so I had booked this place. It is cheap and very close to airport (there is a free airport shuttle (by request) to/from airport from/to the apartment). Administration people are good, they helped with taxi and place to visit (Yandex taxi app seems good and cheap options 10-12 GEL for trip to city center).
