The smell in the shower and toilet, poor sound insulation - it was audible to everyone until 2 a.m., or rather, it was impossible to sleep.

There were some ongoing issues with bathroom door handle and toilet not working properly. But managers seemed aware and kept addressing it. Not a major issue for me.

I love the garden and the cozy cafe! Great place to chill or work. We met one of the owners of the place, she was really friendly and kind - shared some Easter cake and knowledge about Georgia with us. Walking distance from the old part of the city. If you're a type of person that get cold easily, make sure to ask for additional blanket, they reception can provide it.

The room was little bit smaller than I anticipated and there was lack of furniture for storage. But that was a minor inconvenience.

The design and the atmosphere was beautiful. Breakfast was tasty and the staff friendly. I had a small problem with the shower but they took care of it right away. The courtyard was very cozy. I enjoyed my stay.

The showers are a little inconvenient to use - not much space to store your clothes and towel, and hard to change with privacy.

There's no room service, which we would've appreciated at least when it comes to taking out the trash in a multi-day stay. The door is unlocked with a really old key, so it is difficult to lock and unlock because the keyhole has no end - so you just gotta have patience to find the sweet spot at which you turn the key.

The location was five minutes to the centre walking, it's really well located! The views from the window are incredible, and the balcony is lovely. The room is cosy and warm, and the bed just takes you in! Super comfortable. The staff are very nice and we felt really welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast is delicious, with homemade food made with fresh, quality ingredients! It's a limited range of choice but you are sure to love whatever you taste, because they concentrate quality on those things and they make it all themselves!

I think the only real thing I can say is that I did not like that I could not stay here longer! This place was honestly amazing and is a great place for all travellers solo/group.

Great vibe, comfortable beds, very clean and welcoming facilities. The staff are very friendly and created a wonderful vibe for people staying in the hostel. Very central in Kutaisi and perfect for any type of adventure you would like to set of on.

It was one of the best stays ever! I’d love to thank the manager of this hostel for being so kind and understanding of my arrival time and going the extra mile in providing exceptional hospitality. I liked everything about my stay, from the location to the atmosphere. Imagine waking up to the best view of the mountains, having breakfast prepared on site, strolling to the city center, which is only 5 minutes away, and coming back to the comfort of the lovely international community – this is what Black Tomato offers its guests. I was a tad disappointed by the restaurant, which others seemed to recommend. It was also a bit noisy in the evenings, but I guess that is not the hostel's fault.
