When arriving and looking for someone to check in, the old lady we found was shouting at us - not sure what we did except for not speaking Georgian. The cottages and the pavillions are really nice, but as it was beginning of October it was cold. So we were freezing in our room (blankets were thick and warm, so once you were in bed it was ok) and we would have preferred to be offered to have breakfast and dinner inside, especially as we were travelling with our one year old son. On the second morning there was no hot water and also the Wifi at the cottage was not working. As a conclusion I would say that Chateau Dio is a good place to stay at during summer.

Chateau Dio is a nice family-run vineyard close to Ambrolauri. The cottages are basic, but offer a stunning view. The homemade food and wine is good and it is nice that you can have breakfast and dinner outside in garden pavillions (see disadavantages).

Stay in chateau dio winery was excellent. Hosts doesn't speak English but can communicate through translation apps. Cabin rooms have good views overlooking Ambrolauri and rioni river. Dinner and breakfast were good.

The area is very beautiful: many vineyards, the view from the room to the mountains is amazing. Our room was clean and equiped with all necessary things (towels, slippers, soup, shampoo). Eka is super friendly and helpful host, and her breakfasts were delicious. Thank you for having us!

If you want to feel the spirit of Racha, you should definitely visit this place. The cottages were wonderful with an amazing view 🏡 garden full of beautiful flowers. Rooms were very basic as for the price. Was very hot at the attic. Staff spoke only basic English. They offered a dinner via chat and then charged us a relatively high sum upon checkout - it was by far the most expensive dinner we’ve had in Georgia. Make sure you agree on price before you confirm.

Cabins are nicely located on a hill overlooking the valley. Very nice, friendly, huge dog Buba stays around and contributes to the overall atmosphere.

I LIKE THE VIEW, THE ROOM AND THE BALCONY. THE PLACE ITSELF IS SO RELAXING. THE GARDEN WERE AMAZING, HAD FULLY GROWN PLANTS. DIFFERENT KINDS OF ROSES ALL AROUND. THE PLACE IS VERY GOOD FOR GROUP, FAMILY AND THOSE WHO WANTS TO BE AWAY FROM THE CITY. THE PLACE IS FAR FROM THE CENTER BUT GOOD LOCATION TO BE ALONE.

Cannot think of may things that I didn't like. The only thing probably was the bathroom. It was private, but not attached to my room, I had to go outside to get there. Other than that everything was nearly perfect.

This is a great property in a very good location. The hosts were very hospitable and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The homemade food was great. Apart from it, you can buy there some homemade food like the excellent wine - Khvanchkara for the price more than twice less than in Tbilisi. I'd also bought the famous walnuts from Racha, and very tasty local smoked ham - lori. All in all, the trip was great, will definitely stay there again. Racha is incredibly beautiful, especially in the fall.

The vineyard is in a beautiful setting overlooking the town of Ambrolauri. The family, who runs the vineyard, was very kind and hospitable, and the vineyard has been in their family for many generations. You are able to taste their wines, see the process and buy them as well. The wine made in this region is from a unique grape, only grown in this region, which is said to be the best in Georgia. The rooms were spotless and comfortable and the living room area and kitchen are decorated with traditional Georgian crafts. The breakfast was wonderful and is set outside under grape vines or inside if you wish. We had an outstanding time. Thank you.
