Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AzerbaijanWe booked the room for 2 people. The items in the room are set for 1 person. For example: slippers, towels, etc. it was for 1 person. When we asked the hostess, she told us that you should pay extra for the second person. The wifi was not working in our room and it disturbed our comfort. We did not like the hostess, she was rude.
I only liked Bakuriani. And the guy at the reception was good, he helped us, big thanks to that boy. His name was Kaxa.

GeorgiaOn the gooole maps the location of the site was wrong
Clean and very comfortable quiet room. Helpful stuff at the reception. The location is 5min walk from the Crystal skiing 2.5km advanced beginner level track and the gondola. In the nearby Crystal spa hotel for an acceptable price spa, 25m pool, gym and sauna are available. Cafes, restaurants, groceries and a drugstore too are also nearby.

GeorgiaFirst of all, we should mention that this apartment is physically part of the hotel, but you get almost none of the hotel's benefits, besides the keycard and well - shampoo bottles and soaps (yey?). This includes, no free access to any of the listed facilities. Besides, this specific hotel where we stayed doesn't have any of these facilities, you have to walk to other "Crystal" hotels', and pay there to enjoy a swimming pool or a restaurant or other fancy things that are so carelessly listed as included benefits. This should at least be very VERY clearly highlighted in the owner's descriptions and not so vaguely as it is now. The most frustrating part about the whole experience was the payment. It is clearly stated that they take credit card and other payment services, but this is literally a plain lie. You have to transfer money to the owner from your bank account to theirs, and if you're unlucky like us and your preferred bank company doesn't match owners', process is gonna take a few hours and they won't let you in the apartment until it's complete. You'll have to either: 1) Have to walk to ATM (we couldn't find one near, you probably have to walk a few kms until city center) and then use pay box nearby to directly deposit money on owner's account 2) Wake a friend up who has matching bank account, pay them money, so they pay the owner instead. Maybe please delete this and stop lying to people? As for the apartment itself, it felt like it was cleaned in only 10 mins, with disgusting hairy and stained sheets. We had to iron the sheets ourselves to make them somewhat usable. The water pressure was inconsistent and sometimes completely off, and there were no chairs in the room. Despite being on the third floor, the view was marred by noise from the street, giving the impression of being on the first floor. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, amenities, and a peaceful environment made for an uncomfortable stay.
Bathroom was quite spacey, bed was big and comfy but only after we ironed it and spent hours on cleaning it of course. Powering up/down electricity using the keycard was really neat. Good amount of storage space and a big balcony, with chairs there at least. Room also had sufficient cleaning and hygiene resources.

TurkeyThe host refused to check us in. The reason was "last minute booking, too late arrival (6p.m), too short duration etc. No surprise why there is no detailed pictures - because it is fake advertisement. Very sad that in this great country I faced this problem first time for my long travel booking experience.
