Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GeorgiaEverything was great!
The hotel exceeded all my expectations. The location is the very center of Tbilisi, two minutes walk from the central avenue, but on a quiet street away from the noise. The hotel has its own small courtyard where you can relax, listen to the birds singing. The staff is very kind and attentive to each guest. Inside the room is big, perfectly clean, recently renovated, orthopedic mattress of excellent quality, beautiful design, a lot of interesting details. It was cold outside in May, but the heating was on inside, they take care of the guests. Breakfast is continental: cornflakes with milk, boiled egg, ham, cheese, bread, coffee or tea. You can make your own hot sandwich in a toaster. I recommend Madera Hotel for accommodation in Tbilisi. Thank you very much and good luck!

EstoniaThis is a family-run small hotel with <10 rooms. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming and they really care about their guests (even if there may be minor language problems). The rooms are simple but clean and have what you need, incl a TV and also a minibar. In the bathroom you do get shampoo and soap. The place is very close to the Tbilisi State University, where our conference took place. It is also close to quite a few restaurants and cafeterias. The actual center is not far to walk. We were very happy to be able to have the breakfast served at exactly the times we needed (very late in the morning after our arrival in the middle of the first night, early on the next days when we had our conference) - appreciated this very much.

AustraliaThis family run hotel is big on comfort and heart. The room was exactly as pictured with everything needed available. The location was secluded, breakfast was superb and the hosts were available anytime to assist (call taxi/ order food/ answer questions etc). I stayed for 2 nights, and checked back in for another 2 nights on my way back through Tbilisi. I will definitely stay here again.

BelgiumThe wifi was a little bit unstable my last night, but that could’ve been just me.
The staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpful. They offered me some homemade cake and tea and helped me with finding good restaurants in the neighbourhood. There was a little problem with the toilet but as soon as I told them about this they fixed it immediately. Very positive about this experience, big odds that I’ll come back here when I stay in Tbilisi.

UkraineIn our room, the electrical outlet near the TV did not work, but there was an extension cord and I solved the problem :)
Small old hotel on a quiet street, covered in ivy. Coolness, fresh air and silence. A wonderful place where I will be happy to stay next time. Demanding lovers of luxury and quality should choose a newer and more expensive hotel. But for me, the window of the room, through which wild grapes "tend to enter" into the room, is more important and more pleasant.

GeorgiaI spent the first night at another hotel they offered me — as apparently there was a guest in my room who couldn't leave in time because of health problems. That was quite surprising, but whatever. The room in the other hotel was cold, but I didn't manage to do anything myself and there was no administrator that night (another guest greeted me with the keys). Next night I moved to Demi hotel, but the heater in the room stopped working, so it was again really cold. The problem was fixed next day. But there were other things: the mattress was really old and I could feel all the springs; the tree outside the room window kept banging constantly on the window loudly. And then two nights before I was going to leave, the administrator asked me if I'm leaving tomorrow. After a 20-minutes long conversation we sorted that out, but that was very uncomfortable. Apparently the administrator thought for some reason that I payed for 5 days instead of 5 nights and was supposed to leave in the evening. Sounds quite absurd, doesn't it? Overall it was quite an unpleasant experience.
Great location, but that's the only great thing about this hotel.

BelarusThere was a non-closing gap in a doorway 1 cm wide, so the cold went into the room. Also blinds are pretty old and shabby, the floor might be a bit cleaner. Short blanket (I’m 183 cm height) was a minor thing.
Great attitude of the hostesses, great price for the location, quiet place.
