How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Besides the structure itself, the highlight for me is the warmth and care from the family that manages the guesthouse. I wish them the best and definetelly recommend it

Nothing. It’s the perfect guest house.
This has everything you are looking for in a guest house. The rooms are so clean. The sheets are crisp and white. The bed is comfortable. We were there in mid October on cold nights and heating worked great. Bathrooms are super functional. Great water pressure and hot water. So great to have a well equipped kitchen and fridge to make some meals ourselves. Best of all was the host. She was so friendly and professional. We tore a pair of pants and she even helped sew for us. She also makes a great and super filling breakfast. Unlimited coffee and tea. Really think this must be the best guesthouse in Kazbegi. Thank you!!

The best view ever: waking up with sunrise at the Kazbeg and trinity church. Good room with balcony, good breakfast (very much), the best accomodation, we'll come back.

Very clean, kitchen well equipped, warm, and sometimes breakfast or dinner provided. Good mountain view, especially from shared balcony. We were able to arrange taxi through our host Tamara.

There are no sower curtains or compartments which makes each shower a messy experience. The mattresses are very soft.
Breakfast was very generous with fresh khachapury and cakes right from the oven. Very friendly athmosphere with owners kern to help and assist in any question or request

We had a cozy room with its own bathroom. The whole guesthouse with its patio and balcony (with a stunning view!) is very nice. everything in the village is closeby. Tamara and her family was very friendly. When we got sick she gave us some fresh mint tea and coca cola. The breakfast and dinner she prepared for the other guests looked very delicious but as we were sick we didn‘t try it. Her son Giorgi took us to the famous Tsminda-Sameba church for 60lari, but one could also walk up there in around 90min.

Immaculately clean. Very nice rooms. Self serve tea and coffee in the clean central kitchen area. The lady will serve an excellent Georgian dinner on request and breakfast also. Not always available for dinner but when it is, it's superb.

Just out of the centre of town and not uphill makes this an easy place to access. The room was very clean with comfortable be. I had an ensuite room with a very nice bathroom/shower. Would use again.

Nothing. It was perfect
The hostes is a very kind and warm person. We really liked it here, and can everybody recomand this guesthouse. Everything is very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast (20 lari per person par night) is absolutely stunning.

Our stay was beyond perfect! The host is so sweet and she does her absolute best to make you feel comfortable and at home. The room is large, comfy, with a gorgeous view of the mountains! Breakfast was absolutely amazing -- homemade cake, omelette, cheese, jam, honey, veggies, delicious pancakes, and khachapuri ... Excellent value for money!! She even offered to let us bring the extra khachapuri with us on our hike to Mount Kazbek. If our bags weren't already so full, we would have absolutely taken it. :) Just shows how sweet she is! We'd 110% recommend staying here, and would happily stay again. Madloba & gaumarjos!
