Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe guesthouse is very close to Bagrati cathedral (good!) but this means a steep walk uphill at night when returning from the centre. Less mobile folks may want to consider a taxi (very affordable).
Very sociable host and interesting conversationalist, keen to share all kinds of information about Georgia with his guests. Equally generous with his homemade wine and cheese:) The room is basic but comfortable. The shared bathroom wasn’t busy at all during my stay, so it did feel like a private one. All in all a good guesthouse and great value.

United StatesGiorgi and his wife were very hospitable. They were available to answer any questions and were eager to make my stay in Kutaisi very enjoyable. Evening conversations over home made wine and cheese with Giorgi were especially fun. Breakfasts were fantastic. Location was perfect, especially if you enjoy walking. I will recommend it to anyone and look forward to staying there again someday.

United KingdomThere is only 1 shared bathroom so it can be busy a lot. The location was good for us but it's a steep walk up the hill from Kutaisi so not for everyone - although it's very cheap to take a taxi.
Giorgi is a wonderful host and very helpful. When we arrived he sat with us and showed us information about Kutaisi and he is very passionate about sharing Georgian culture. The room was very nice and clean. The shared kitchen is very well stocked with a nice kitchen area. This was one of the most social stays we had in Georgia, there are lots of travellers staying here from around the world and it's great to meet people.

IsraelThere is nothing that could be possible to dislike at Giorgi's home with such hospitality and care about guests
Giorgi is an amazing host! He makes everything possible to make you feel like at home. He told me so much about Georgia and its traditions. He made me and other guests an excursion to Motsameta and Gelati monasteries and took us to Sataplia Nature Reserve. In the evenings, we had great conversations on the terrace with other guests, and he brought fruits and one the best homemade wine I ever tried! Giorgi was most of the time available to help and glad to provide any information and suggestions I needed. Without him, I probably wouldn't get that experience of Kutaisi that I had with him. All told, if you are in Kutaisi, you definitely should stay at Giorgi's place!

United StatesMy private bathroom was private in the sense that it was only for my use, but it was located off an outside corridor. The location is a good ways uphill--but it still is not far from the city center.
The room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained. The room itself was fairly large. Giorgi is very enthusiastic about the city and offers many tips. He was also quite helpful in giving me tips on how to reach the location from the train station before I arrived. The complementary watermelon slices were very pleasant. It was considerably more comfortable than some guesthouses located in very old buildings that I have stayed in in Georgia.

It is the perfect place to arrive in Georgia. Giorgi is a wonderful host, he loves to share information about Georgia with you. Every night he gives you the opportunity of meeting his other guests. There is his own delicious wine and fruit and time to ask anything about Georgia. Breakfast is ample and delicious. We went on a day trip with him and had a great time. We will definitely come again.

IrelandNothing, I really enjoyed my time staying at Giorgi's.
Giorgi is an excellent host and waited up for me until 2am to let me check in. He had wine and watermelon waiting for me, which was much appreciated after 14 hours travelling! The next day he sat me down and explained to me what to see in Kutaisi. In the evenings, he hosts his guests for homemade wine and cheese and chats to people about Georgia's history and culture. His recommendations and advice were spot on and he even lent me a rain poncho for hiking in the Svaneti. An excellent, excellent host. Bedroom was spacious, I was served coffee every morning and there's plenty of place to relax in his guesthouse. Town is only a 10 minute walk down the hill, and Bagrati cathedral is on the doorstep.

United KingdomMy three night stay here was the perfect head start to my trip around Georgia. Giorgi provided all of the relevant and essential information for travelling around the country as well as an excellent introduction to his country, it’s people and it’s language (still need to brush up before I return for his exam ;). Beyond him and his family being great hosts, the property itself exceeds all expectations. It’s meticulously clean, has a great location in a peaceful neighbourhood, and has comfortable beds with no disturbance meaning you’ll be well rested here. The home is also aesthetically pleasing with antique furniture, adornments, and has an extremely well maintained garden making it a great place to relax after exploring the city.

United KingdomCannot recommend Giorgi’s Homestay enough. Giorgi is a fantastic host! His kindness and hospitality is unmatched. Giorgi is passionate about Georgia and we loved to hear about his stories and his knowledge of the country. He is a real ambassador for Georgian tourism. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bathroom was well equipped and the wifi / AC worked perfectly. The grapes in the garden create a beautiful setting. We were even lucky enough to try Giorgi’s homemade wine - and chacha! Giorgi is respectful of your space but also very much enjoys to chat with his guests. Chatting with him on his balcony was my favourite evening in Kutaisi! I would recommend that you ask him for advice on every aspect of your trip. It was brilliant, we loved every minute.

United StatesReally great hospitality by really great people! Giorgi has a garden full of delicious delights (I was there when the figs were ripe!) and many porches to enjoy his homemade wine on. Giorgi will solve all of your travel related dilemmas and make you feel so at home you wont really feel like leaving. My room was very comfortable and there is a kitchen available for cooking your own meals if you want. His house is in a lush residential area within very easy walking distance of downtown.

UkraineNo complaints. Everything was perfect.
I want to thank George for his hospitality. He met us and immediately offered a cup of tea, which was extremely nice of him. He helped us to plan the route and introduced us to Georgian cuisine. He also invited me to try his own wine with other guests in the house. It was a wonderful evening! On my birthday, George and his wife made a surprise for me, which was extremely unexpected and pleasant. George and his wife take great care of their guests and are always ready to answer to all questions. Their house reminded us of our own home, which is cozy and comfortable and which we didn’t t want to leave. Thank you so much! Hope to meet you again and visit your house:)

LithuaniaNot actually a big drawback, but I can say it's challenging to walk up the steep hill from the city after a huge meal to reach Giorgi's house, so be ready! Fortunately, you can always take a taxi or bolt ride, which is very cheap.
Giorgi is an exceptional host who takes care not only of your stay at his home, but of your sightseeing as well. He is a great guide of local tourism as well as the other cities around. We had great conversations and evening gatherings, felt very welcomed and treated as friends. I would highly recommend choosing Giorgi as your host while staying in Kutaisi.

He can provide you with a lot of information about activities in and around Kutaisi. In the evenings we got to sit together and try his delicious wine. That was a perfect start for my Georgia trip.
