My friend hurt his knee on the hike, and they were very helpful, our host called her husband to check in on him, and then her son picked us up and took us to the doctor. Thank you again! Everything else was great as well, would definitely recommend if you’re staying in Stepantsminda :)

Just perfect.

Our stay in guest house Demma was plainly wonderful. The familly is lovely, cozy and careful. The room was clean, with all necesary facilities and there is also a shared kitchen (always clean). The location is also perfect for visiting the area, and they helped us with the transport for moving around. We hope we can come back again sometimes:) P.D. We have to mention that they make the best cookies ever.

Absolutely unique experience! The hosts spent an evening with us (all guests), sharing with us homemade wine. That was one of the best places I stayed in Georgia, and one of those that I will never forget. The breakfast was amazing, though, a really really big one! :) The view from my room was also stunning. Morning coffee on the terrace with the mountain view, was the perfect last touch of Qazbegi. Highly recommended.

Demma was extremely hospitable. She helped us with our luggage, prepared the room earlier than we initially indicated and allowed us to store our luggage in the morning while we hiked to the Church. Demma also arranged a taxi for us to Juta when we left in the afternoon for 80 GEL. During our three weeks in Georgia, we have not had a better (vegetarian) breakfast. It was very complete and elaborate, and we could take the rest of it with us for lunch. The room itself is basic but exactly enough, with a small (private) bathroom and a large shared kitchen (with equipment).

This guesthouse is run by a very nice family who can speak good to very good english. The rooms are very nice, big and comfortable. The bathroom is clean and has a nice shower. The common room and kitchen is well equipped, even with dishwasher and washing machine. The breakfast is a very good prepared selection of Georgian dishes. The amount is huge, which you can pack and eat as lunch. It can be a bit tricky to find, but you can readily get help from the host. The view from the balcony is nice, too. Strong recommendation.

Madlein was maybe the highlight of the trip. Yes, you'll have the views, the location (very quiet yet close to downtown), but Madlein's personality and food were amazing. We had the homemade breakfasts, and it was marvelous. All homemade, fresh, not too salty, perfect for a day of hiking. When leaving, Madlein offered us a bottle of homemade wine as well. It was a perfect place to rest, comfortable, clean, well located, with amazing views. Highly recommending!

Very friendly host. Although it is not common to start your day so early in the morning in Georgia, we got our breakfast at 7am to give us the head start for hiking trips. They do go above and beyond here. And the breakfast was outstanding.

I LIKE THE VIEW FROM THE BALCONY. EVERYTHING WAS PROVIDED. THE PLACE WHERE WE HAD THE CHANCE TO WASH OUR WORN CLOTHES FOR 5 DAYS. AMAZING FAMILY, FROM THE DAD, MOM, MARI AND HER BROTHER. WE FELT LIKE ONE OF THEM. SO ACCOMODATING. PROVIDED ALL OUR NEEDS AND GIVEN US THEIR OWN HOUSE MADE WINE. I LOVE THE PLACE AND THE LOCATION.

Mari and her mother are such nice people and do whatever they can to make you feel at home. We had breakfast every day and allthoug not really cheap, it was so good and so much we could make a whole lunch as well. Rooms are good, not to big and basic but very clean and comfortable bed. Madeleine is a wonderful host. She made us a delicious breakfast everyday for 25 GEL/pp which was enough food to keep some for lunch as well. The home is located just outside of the main town area which was perfect to enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. It's also close to the start of the hike up to Gregeti Church and the Kazbegi Glacier viewpoint. The room was good size and the bathroom was clean. There was coffee and tea available all day long. The shared balcony offered views of the mountain where you could sit and enjoy a cup of tea or a glass of wine. There's also a shared kitchen space which had anything you'd need to prepare a meal as well as a washing machine. I would definitely recommend that you stay here during a visit to Stepantsminda.
