It is a family house in Kazbegi whose upper floor has been fitted out with a kitchen and rooms with bathroom for guests. The surroundings and views are spectacular. Spacious rooms with private bathroom and towels available. Kitchen with refrigerator available for guests.

Had some issues with internet - connected without any data. But eventually the connection got resolved itself and wifi was working fine.

The views! The family owning the house, they have 4 rooms upstairs for guests. 2 rooms in the back have views towards the snowy mountain caps of Mt Shani, while the other two rooms overview the Mt Kazbegi side and the city of Stepantsminda. There is also a terrace to the city/kazbegi/trinity church view, every day we had our breakfast and chill time on the terrace looking at 5km peaks. Really amazing. Kitchen In the hallway is equipped with all the necessities such as stove, kitchen tools, dishes, pots all sorts of things, except oven, but they have microwave which can help. You can easily make yourself any sort of breakfast before the daily hike. There is also a washing machine with powder included, you can hang your laundry outside - sun and mountain breeze will dry your clothes quick. Bathroom has all included as well, towels, toiletries, shower gel, shampoo... The house is about 10 minutes walking up from the main road. The village has lots of cows and horses around, so beware of the brown cakes on the streets and in fields :) Overall a very comfortable and friendly stay. The owner looks happy and caring about the guesthouse. Also it's cash only, come prepared.

Very spacious room, new comfortable beds and bedding. Very friendly lady who speaks Englisch and answers all your questions. Perfect shared kitchen. Everything is meticulous clean. Nice balcony in the sun with an amazing view on mountain Kazbek and Trinity Church. Best value for money! Ps: it is a little uphill but there is nothing that blocks the view on the stunning surrounding mountains, unlike some other places closer to the center.

Everything!!! It is a bit far from the minibus station so we get the greatest view! Literally the owner does cleaning every single day and she lives downstairs so easily approachable whenever we needed something or help and she was happy to help. I’m super picky when it comes to cleaning and organising however this guesthouse is the top notch seriously you will not regret. If you see it’s available book it asap.

The heating was on too high & there seemed no way to turn it down. It wasn’t too bad with the window open, but it really didn’t need to be as hot as it was.

The room was spotless & the lady who greeted us was very friendly. You can’t beat the views looking out onto the mountains. We stayed for 1 night so we could hike to Gergeti Church early in the morning & it was perfect for this. Great value for money!

It’s quite a long walk uphill from the town but that’s why you have a wonderful view!

Keti was very welcoming and helpful with advice. We had a wonderful view from our room and a balcony overlooking the view. There was a well equipped kitchen, tea and coffee with kettle in our room which was very spacious Our bed was very comfortable.

Room name: Triple Room with Mountain View We recently stayed in Apr 2024 at Guest House Tamta, and I wanted to share my experience. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and appreciated several aspects of my room: 1. Cleanliness: The room was impeccably clean. 2. Comfort: The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I had a restful night’s sleep. The pillows and linens were of high quality. 3. Amenities: I loved the thoughtful amenities provided. The coffee maker, and toiletries were all well-stocked and convenient. 4. Quietness: Despite being centrally located; the room was surprisingly quiet. I appreciated the peaceful environment. 5. Friendly Staff: The guest house owner was very sweet and accommodating. They promptly addressed any requests I had. 6. Location: The guest house location was just too good for exploring nearby attractions and dining options. It was very near/walkable to the center of everything. 7. Kitchen: A lovely shared kitchen which had everything which a guest need 8. Transport: The owner can arrange trips by taxi to nearby places with the best rates compared to other taxis which you will get on the main market road 9. Balcony View: Mesmerizing view from the balcony & room window Note: Restaurant Tiba near to the guest house is a must visit for great food Visit Gergeti Trinity Church Visit Icon of Elias near to guest house (very scenic). Tip - take a taxi/horse ride to Elias and then return by walking. The guest house owner will arrange the taxi/horse ride. Visit Dariali Monastery for scenic beauty Visit Gveleti waterfalls (a short trek - u need not be an expert in trekking) All my local transport-taxi was arranged by the guest house owner ( safe & best rates in town ) The guest house looks from outside is very simple but once you enter the house - it is so beautiful ( Pls check my pictures ) In summary, my stay was delightful, and I would highly recommend Guest House Tamta to others. It was a bit misleading that the room would have its private kitchen. The kitchen is shared with the two other rooms and was as perfectly clean as well.

Upon arrival we were greeted by the host and she showed us to our room. The room was very clean and amenities (towels, shower gel & shampoo) were given as described. The guest house 15 min from the central bus shop and the restaurants in the city are easily reached by walk.

This guest house exceeded our expectations in every way, and it also looked even better in real life than in the pictures, which is a very rare thing. Amazing, the location is the perfectly amazing sight of the Kazbag mountain, the room was absolutely beautiful, clean and warm, the owner was very friendly and welcoming and helped us with our tour and activities, we will visit again for sure and recommend it to all who want to spend a fabulous time.
