How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

None. I hope other folks stay here in this low-key place.
A nice walk from the center, nice view of the mountains. Toilet and shower are separate so less waiting and that also means toilet floor is not perpetually wet. Meals ordered are big portions. Nora is sweet and makes the effort to your stay is comfortable. On the morning we are leaving, she took the initiative to pack the leftover and gave it to us for our bicycle ride to Zagaro pass.

You need to ask for a breakfast in a day before.
The guesthouse is in historical building. It is the home of Nora’s family for centuries (since 11 century). If you want to touch the history of Svaneti this guesthouse is what you need. Also we did booking in the last moment and 5 min later Nora accommodated us, which was very good for us.

What wonderful hosts! Highly hospitable, talkative and friendly. The dinner was brilliant, and the atmosphere was something else. Guesthouse Nora comes highly recommended!

Noise from the hosts from downstairs in the evening.
Friendly host, delicious food from the hosts! We had breakfast and dinner as well. Also the room was quite big. I would choose it again. 🙂

Everything was fantastic. I wish we could have stayed here longer.
We couldn't have asked for a better stay in Ushguli. The room was really tidy and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The breakfast by Nora was fantastic and fresh from their local garden. The owners also offer a variety of services from fishing to horseback riding. It was a remarkable experience learning how to fish wild trout from a glacier river in the traditional Georgian way and how to cook it. It was the best meal we had in all of Georgia. The owner was really nice and remembered us telling him we liked horses and on our last day he had the horse ready to ride. You really experience the Georgian hospitality at Guesthouse Nora. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely stay here again.

In the bedroom there were over 100 large flies on every surface in the room. It was really hard to get rid of them. It would be great if the host could install some kind of fly screen.
Good location, friendly host who helped arrange a taxi for us to Kutaisi. The shower and bathroom were nice. A large local breakfast was provided.

We arranged breakfast with the host, but then during the morning we got to know from another guest that we would not be able to have breakfast at the place. Hosts didn't give us any explanation.
It is well located and beds are comfortable.

Communication was difficult. When we booked it said there was no meals so we brought some things. Nora, the host convinced us to have dinner which was nice. Then we said we didn't want breakfast and from then on there was no more food for us. When I asked about dinner the next day she said you didn't want it. So there might have been a language problem....if you want food it's probably best to say it early and clearly. Although I don't know why everyone calls their rooms " deluxe"....there was absolutely nothing deluxe what so ever. Overall a very basic simple place with a friendly host but make sure to clearly communicate your needs.
Dinner was nice.... quiet.... portable heater...
