Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GeorgiaI recently had the pleasure of staying at a hostel in Kutaisi, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The hostel's cleanliness and organization were impressive. My dorm room was tidy, and the shared facilities were well-maintained. The cozy common area provided a perfect spot to meet fellow travelers and share stories from our journeys. One of the standout features of this hostel was its excellent location. It was conveniently situated near many of Kutaisi's attractions, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The staff also offered helpful tips on where to go and what to see, which enhanced my overall experience. Overall, my stay at this hostel in Kutaisi was fantastic. I would highly recommend it to any fellow travelers looking for a comfortable, friendly, and well-located place to stay. My time there was unforgettable, and I can't wait to return.

FranceThe only thing that bothered me is that you can hear people from the room upstairs and unfortunately during my stay they were pretty loud in the middle of the night. It' not because of the hotel itself but because of the construction.
Clean dorm and bathroom / toilet. Great location. Spacious. In the dorm : lockers with a key and two sockets per bed, very convenient. Beds are really comfortable. The outside area is really lovely and spacious.

NetherlandsYou aren't allowed to use the kitchen except a kettle and microwave so for a longer stay it isn't really suitable. So nobody uses the stoves except for heating up water. The mattresses are still covered in plastic for some reason so they don't really breath, which makes it hot when you sleep on them. There isn't really a social vibe going on if you are looking for it because it is mainly a hotel.
Modern looking hostel with comfortable beds and good wifi. The rooms get cleaned daily and the showers are hot and strong. The location is great because you are behind the university and in 10 mins in the center.

GeorgiaThe staff were so nice, they helped me in everything. Hostel was very clean, bed was very comfortable, building had good sound isolation. They had fast wifi and also working space in the front building. I did not know where to eat good breakfast in Kutaisi so I decided to add money and enjoy their breakfast in the most beautiful Hut. It was delicious. city centre was near, i could walk from hotel. If I'll need to go to Kutaisi again, I already know where I'll stay.

FranceI honestly would like to like this place but there were too many things that were not good: - it was WAY TOO HOT in the dorm at night! Please install the AC! The weather was really hot and very humid, and even though the mattress was comfortable, I slept really badly. (there is a fan, but it is really loud and doesn't do anything) - please fix the problems in the women shower rooms (I told the girl at the reception, so I hope I would be fixed): the water leaks everywhere, one the pipe is leaking so the pressure you get is low. - please cover the door of the dorm. The light gets through in the morning. Also it's not a very pleasant feeling when clients in the hotel area can guess your silhouette through the door. - one of the staff told me they didn't have many customers on the dorm part (keep in mind, it was a hotel first, and then they created a hostel) and they didn't understand why. I think I know. They kind of created a dorm inside a hotel. They didn't really open a hostel, since they don't provide what most backpackers (which are hostel's customers) expect: common rooms to socialize, and a kitchen (at least a fridge, a kettle and a microwave). My honest advice for the hotel would be to close the small dorm (since you don't fill it up anyway), and transform it into a kitchen/common area. Like this, the hostel part would be its own indepedant area.
The dorm looks new: the beds are comfortable, there are plugs and lights, and lockers. I think there were enough showers and toilets (2 of each for men and women), but I was almost alone during my 3 nights so hard to say... The location is good.

IndiaThe place is roaring soaring hot at night, they don't either have AC or at least a fan like in other hostels and it is so hot and humid that you can't sleep. I tried to sleep and as I was turning around, my bp literally went up to the point of a heatstroke and was extremely high, I needed to jump under another shower at 3 AM just to cool myself down. In the span from 12 midnight until 7 AM I have taken three showers just to stay cool and at the end as long as I lied on a thick matress, the situation always became the same, so I have just put two blankets on the ground and slept on them to get at least two hours of sleep before my flight. The humidity in Kutaisi in the couple of weeks in August is extremely humid and the owner should at least provide one fan per dorm for people to get some minimal cooling. Like this it is a torture. The hotel part of the complex is well climatized and I understand that they want to distinguish inbetween of "luxury" for hotel guests and just an accommodation for backpackers, but the situation is inhuman and they should realize that.
The receptionist is a great and very helpful person. And the hostel is quite a new, seemingly nice establishment, but people don't stay there. There are two to three reasons for that - that hostel doesn't have a kitchen or at least a small fridge where you can keep your eatable things and in the summer it is extremely hot inside.
