Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CyprusThere were no radiators, making it quite chilly in winter. However, the situation was salvaged by the presence of a heater-equipped air conditioner.
The room was spacious with a beautiful interior, creating a cozy and stylish atmosphere. The high ceilings and doorways added a touch of grandeur.

EstoniaVery agressive phone calls from two hotel guys after making reservation. Please avoid it in future - it is unpleaseant. The hotel personnel attitude to hosts was really cold - have not seen it often before.
Good location and includes all basics you need.

LatviaI like that there was a winery, You could buy any wine bottle at the hotel. Room was spacious, high ceilings, strong air conditioning. There’s also an outdoor place where to hangout, just sit with your family or friends, have a drink and talk.

United KingdomThe beds and matrasses definitely seen better days. You could feel every single sprung when turning around. It would benefit at least with a mattress topper. Other than that nothing bad to say.
The location is prime. Close to every point in the city. The room was clean and spacious enough for 1 person.

United KingdomAbsolutely no sound proofing. Can hear everything going on in the corridor. I stayed right next to staircase so could hear people going up and down all day as well as talking. Also, doors of the rooms have blurred glass fragment In the middle so you can see silhouettes of people behind the door, personally that made me feel a bit uncomfortable. Shower had no boarder so water leaked out into the bathroom floor.
Room has AC, mini fridge and a kettle. Large comfy bed, good location, close to city center with many restaurants around.

United Arab EmiratesThe toilet flush run out of water and the heater can only store up-to 30liters which is good enough for a solo traveller. However, for a couple I don’t trust so. If television can be added for the service (it’s a plus) and daily morning supply of coffee atleast 🙃
First, the location. The hotel is located literally 3mins walk to the City Centre. Second, it is accessible to all amenities. Mall, supermarkets, retails shops. Especially dining options - the Cafè and restaurants, adding restau-bar spots too! Third, the room is very organise, cozy, very clean and neat (as white means white! not dirty white). Fourth, no disturbance and no noisy neighbours at all! Fifth, the room temperature was suitable enough to have a very peaceful rest in the night despite the cold weather. ♥️

United KingdomAbout the only problem is there is no lift as it's not a purpose built hotel but a converted house. We had to climb 4 flights of stairs the last one very steep with suitcases, there was some help from the staff.
The hotel outside is unassuming. Inside however there are very high ceilings, it must have been a very large wealthy house at one point. It has a lot of charm in the decoration. It is a central location and only a few minutes walk from the fountain at the centre of town. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly The breakfast for 20 lari per person could feed an army. We ate twice and barely made a dent. The room was a good size with mini fridge, AC and a kettle.Bed was very large and large tiled wet room done to a high standard. For the price we paid for 3 days we paid per night in Batumi. Even on the top floor the wi-fi was good and steady. The staff really made the stay! So welcoming and helpful. The lady at the desk speaks reasonable English so we could communicate. The welcome drink takes your breath away!
