Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelA/C costs 5gel extra to turn on, but we didn't need it since it was still chilly outside.
In our 12-day trip to Georgia, this was the best homestay we've ever had! Lilia was an incredibly kind and caring host. First, we were welcomed with coffee on the balcony of their beautiful garden. Then, Lilia gave us a bottle of their homemade wine for free, connected us with a driver (Georgi), who arrived at 10pm at her place to arrange our next day trip, and when we checked out in the early morning she even waited with us outside until the taxi arrived.

United StatesIt suited our needs perfectly.
The hospitality was outstanding. It’s a modest place, with very reasonable rates, and our family felt very comfortable there. We were greeted with coffee and tea and churchkhela, as well as a taste of their homemade wine. The day we left Lilia made pancakes for us. It has a beautiful garden and view of the mountains. We really enjoyed our stay.

Lilia and her husband were great hosts - kind and thoughtful. Lilia made me pancakes for breakfast on the 2nd day, and her husband took me back to the bus station for my onward marshrutka ride. Their house is central, making it easy to explore Telavi

DenmarkMy partner had unfortunately gotten a stomach bug before arriving at Lilias, and we really appreciated the attentiveness and concern from Lilia, checking in on us, bringing apples and mint tea from the garden. Her driver, Giorgi, picked us up from our last guesthouse, and was of great help, also offering to help us find a doctor in Telavi, driving around and waiting for us, all for free. Another of her drives drove us safely to Tbilisi after our stay, all very affordable and easy. We didn't get to take up the offer of a tour around Telavi, and visiting family wine houses, but we're sure it would've been great with Giorgi as a guide. His English is good, and of needed, his daughter will happily translate over the phone. The guesthouse is located a short 7 min uphill walk from the city center fortress, and it's super easy to get around by foot. There is a beautiful, tranquil garden, and the rooms are clean, big and spacious. A shared kitchen was super practical for us and had all the pots and utilities we needed. Thank you for taking care of us, Lilia - we hope to come back!

GermanyGreat place to stay in Telavi! Short walk from many of the sights in town. Lilia was a great host. We somehow didn’t get a chance to take her up on the offer of wine from her cellar, but we will make a priority out of it the next time we are in Telavi!

FranceThis is my second time in Georgia and for me a stop in Lilia Guesthouse is clearly on my to do 🙌🏽 Lilia is a super host, a GREAT cooker and she will do what it’s possible to make your stay better ! If you want to see the sights near to Telavi (like the wonderful Alaverdi Church or the beautiful Nekresi Monastery), she will call a taxi driver for you 🚕💕 If you are lucky enough to have a good weather, you will enjoy her beautiful garden while having your breakfast 🌱 Finally, if you are REALLY lucky enough, maybe she will make you taste her wine which is one of the best housewine I ever tried 🍷

Everything is perfect. Clean comfortable rooms with heating (very important in November). Everything in Telavi is walkable from the guesthouse. Kitchen available, restaurants just 5 minutes walk. The landlady will help arrange trips to the wineries with an English speaking driver. Can't fault it. I would 100% come back
