Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ChinaEverything perfect.
I merely wrote comments on bookings or other travel agents but Marani ELizbar was an exception. It was absolutely the HIGHLIGHT of my vacation in Georgia! It’s got everything we’d expect for a “local” experience while super cozy and pleasant. I only stayed here for one night as my flight going back home was the next day, otherwise I really would like to stay for more nights there. A huge thank you to Leon (the host) and the neighbor there! I was walking around the Marani the morning I woke up and happened to see neighbor are killing a pig for barbecue as it was new year time. Leon and the neighbor invited me to the barbecue and shared with me the amber wine their family made. While they drank, they toasted to the land Georgia, to mothers and to families. It was a moving scene for me.. Also they were super friendly to us.. Besides the memorable morning, the Marani itself was incredibly well-decorated with exquisite taste as can tell from the pictures but I’m sure you have to experience it in person. Cleanliness 10/10. Breakfast was great. We drove so location was not really important to us but several famous winery are just around. Convenient enough for anyone looking for a winery tour. I would definitely come back here when I visited Georgia again.

United Arab EmiratesIt has some common areas and it might get a bit noisy, but if you’re traveling as a family or a big groups and rent a few rooms all together it’s more of a plus then, cause basically you will have the whole room to yourself
Hidden gem! Located in a lovely village near Telavi, very quite and calm place. But it’s not a typical boutique hotel, this place is filled with traditions whether it’s cooking or their own winery. Highly recommend

United StatesOur room was right off of the shared common space/kitchen area so we could hear other guests who were using the space.
Marani Elizbar1918 is a beautiful property. We loved waking up and eating our delicious breakfast with such a gorgeous scenery. The location was perfect. Outside of the towns, but very close to Telavi and the wineries we visited. We had a car and drove ~1 hour to get to Signanghi one of the days. On our last day, we enjoyed a tasting of the Elizbar1918 wine and got to tour the cellar on the property. We enjoyed our relaxing stay.

AustriaIt would be nice if the pool was open in any season and heated. And I really want khinkali on the menu!.. But these are not disadvantages, just wishes. :)
We were amazed by the story of this family business, the hotel itself was made with love for details. Thanks to our manager Lewan and his sweet puppy Yuda for hospitality, wine testing and cozy evenings near the fireplace. It's also worth mentioning that our room Kisi was also very comfortable, good wifi, comfortable bed and pillows, very clean bathroom, good water pressure, hairdryer and cozy bathrobes.

SwedenFrosted glass doors to the bedroom could have been an issue for sound isolation had there been noisy neighbours, but luckily this was not the case.
A hotel with only six rooms spread around a neat garden. Manager Lewan took very good care of us lighting the fire in the evenings and showing us around the wine cellar during the day. Breakfast and dinner were both of standard good Georgian quality, perhaps not exceptional. The village is quiet and small enough to walk around, if you have a car the place works well for exploring the surrounding region too.

United KingdomWe were a bit disappointed with the food, we were offered a menu but several items were not available - would have been better to just tell us what was available. Bread served with both dinner and breakfast was dry which is a shame as shoti is so delicious. Suggestion: Might be good to have a drinks menu available somewhere in the room so if we stay at the property for the day, we would know if possible to order drinks like softs drinks or some wine in the afternoon for example or some fruits....
The settings are ideal to rest and terrace, the pool, the garden are very peaceful. The room was large and very comfortable The Saperavi was absolutely delicious - we should have bought more to bring back levan was really nice and spent the time to chat with us as well which was really cool

BelgiumPerhaps it would be a good idea to stock up on some drinks and snacks for the bar (other than the amazing wine they have), but this is us being picky.
The entire experience was a dream! We only have good things to say about our stay at Elizbar1918. Everyone was amazing and made our stay unforgettable. Special shout out to Lewan, who went the many extra miles!

CanadaNothing. Just wish we could have stayed longer!
Everything. The rooms were comfortable. The attention to detail on the property. The hospitality of the hosts. The wine. The pool. Perfect location for a few days in Kahketi. The hosts were exceptional and helped us with booking a driver to explore the area, and gave us a full tour of their wine making operation. This place is seriously good.

PolandThe whole property was beautiful and we enjoyed the pool a lot. Food was delicious and the breakfasts were really big. Hospitality was top-notch, the staff was really helpful and attentive. We did not have a car which made it hard for us to make a trip to one of the wineries in the region by ourselves. One of the guys working there offered to drive us there and pick us up later, completely free of charge. In particular, huge thanks to Lewan who made the stay exceptional for us :) Anytime we needed anything, he was there to help us within minutes.

NetherlandsWe have the garden facing bedroom, and right next to our windows was a communal table that was used for outside breakfast or hanging out at night by other guests. This could be really noisy, needed earplugs to be able to fall asleep certain nights. It also was weird to open our windows/curtains, as people could then look into our room.
Really friendly people, great service. Very large room and very large bathroom. All vert clean and really nicely decorated in their own style. Good breakfast, and opportunity to have lunch or diner on site which we good too. Wifi worked well. Bed was relatively comfy, pillows were a bit too big for my liking. The garden was really beautiful with lots of roses. Loved the small pool to cool down, and used the sunbeds for some sunbathing. We could open the windows as they had a mosquito nets
