How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I think the location was a bit too far from the city centre, would be good to provide more information on how to get to certain places not using a taxi
I really liked how the staff was super helpful even in times when help did not concern travelling.

-Not very centrally located (but within walking distance from the city center, so not a big problem). -There was some visible wear and tear in the interior despite the hotel being quite new.
-Excellent value for money. -Friendly staff. -Clean, comfortable rooms. -Free parking on site.

The breakfast timings are late (9to 11) It will be wonderful if it can be from at-least 7am coz after breakfast we have time to go n explore the city earlier
The staff were very friendly Even they didn’t understand English but really tried their best to communicate with us Its located in a peaceful and quite neighborhood And the view from the restaurant on 5th floor is really amazing Surely coming back soon

a little bit of noise at night but mainly because the neighbours had a party going on, and the location itself is a little bit isolated, however if you have a car, the price you are paying for this hotel is very fair.
Based on the price we paid for that extra night before leaving Georgia, the hotel was rather perfect and did the exact job! looks like it is a hotel for families, it mainly has refugees from Ukraine and Russia who were very friendly, the staff was very collaborative, the place was very clean

bed was completely absolutely uncomfortable. with old matrace. there were no normal curtain on the balcony door. the window's glass in my sons room was broken, the balkony door's glass in our room was broken as well. this gave us the feeling of unsecurity. there were no hot water at first day of arrival (we stayed 2 nights). nobody cleaned the room and changed the wet towels after the first night. Breakfast ... with no table water, with instant cofee started at 9 in the morning... very bad choice of holiday stay for us. never recoomend to anybody.

Nothing to improve! Exceeded my expectations.
The owners are really helpful and carrying. They helped us with every question or ask we had. The rooms were clean and designed. The food was fresh and very please. The location is great in a peaceful and quiet place nearby the center. Be sure that I’ll be back to this hotel again.

No soundproofing. You hear everything: people walking in the hall, people moving the chair above your head, the ding from the elevator. I couldn't sleep most of the night.

Nice family hotel in quiet area not far from center, especially if you have car or alternatively Taxi service is quite cheap in Batumi. Nika (owner) is so friendly and helpful, I had good chat with him during my stay. Nice, clean, modern spacious hotel room - with all necessary facilities, attached small balcony was also extra benefit. Amazing panoramic views from Terrace top 5th floor, where is also served daily rich buffet breakfast. Overall, I had very pleasant stay there and I highly recommend Maria value family B&B hotel to everyone who would like to stay in Batumi on budget.

Beautiful building, comfortable room, friendly staff. Also, it was great to get early check in. Simple, but tasty breakfast with great view on city and mountains. I liked everything about my stay.
